Chapter 2:
Mystery Guy.
It’s Tuesday. I watched the sun as it rises in the horizon. I went up from the
banana leaf-bed that I made. The mystery guy was around 3 meters from me. He was asleep,
facing my direction. I stared at him. Then he woke up, and I went back to the sun again. After a
minute, he was yawning. I stared at him.The sunlight toughed his eyes. His eyes, I stared at his
eyes. They were Golden Brown. It’s my first time to realize that his eyes were so attracting. He
glanced at me. I ignored and looked at a different direction. Ugh, my tummy is growling like a
hungry lion. I searched for food in the dark forest. Searching for food in the dark is really hard. I saw
a mango tree. As I was about to get a ripe one, I fell. “WOAH!” I yelled. At the moment, I realized I did
not fell at the rocky land. Instead, I was caught by the guy in his arms. He smiled. I smiled. Oh no,
there was a spark in his eyes. This can’t be happening. He held me down and reached his hand
out. “It’s been almost three days. We still don’t know each other. Hi, I’m Louie.” I was speechless
for a moment. I don’t know why I have this feeling towards him.
NO. It can’t be. I stared at him. Stared and stared. “Is everything
alright? “ He said, with a cute smile on his face. “No. Nothing.” I said nervously. “What’s your name
then?” right before I was about to say my name. I saw a creature towards us. There was a loud
noise due to the leaves. It becomes louder and louder as it was nearing us. It was about a foot tall.
It’s dark that’s why I can’t see it. Louie guarded me and went in front of me. He held my hand tightly.
“Hold on, I can handle this.” I hid behind him. “What is it?!” he did not respond. Then he laughed
hilariously . I was shocked. Why the heck would he laugh at a scary creature? “WHAT WAS IT?!” he
turned to me and said.” A , a, Ra, RABBIT! “ he said , while laughing. “I’m serious!” I’m already
pissed off. “ I’m serious too! Look?” I glanced to where he was pointing. Well, he was right. It’s an
innocent, adorable white rabbit. I was so pissed off, so I walked out. “Hey! Wait a minute!” I ran
towards the shore. He followed me. I stopped. He stopped. ”Why? Is there a problem? “ The
moment I heard his voice, my anger went off. I turned to him. Smiling. “No. Everything’s fine. By the
way I’m Sofia.”
I felt ‘KILIG’ it’s the way you feel when you are next to someone
special in Filipino. I don’t know why I was so into him. “Oh, what a nice name. So , you’re a friend of
Mark, right?” “Yeah. He was my classmate actually.” He then, again smiled. I sat down and he sat
