Shawn
--------------------
"Did you hear that?"
The voice echoed, white walls surrounded me.
Everywhere I looked a white light blinded me, where was I?
I knew for a fact that I was asleep, but I had never dreamt like this before.
Nothing.
That's all that it was, nothing, but the sound of nearby echoing.
It was almost as if someone were walking towards me, but no one was there.
"Ding Ding Ding!!!"
A bell sounded.
It almost sounded like the bell that rung for class to start in the hallways of my old school.
"Alright Cara! See ya at lunch!"
The voice boomed, I quickly turned around, but nothing was there.
--------------------I quickly shot up in bed and ran my sweaty hands through my hair.
What the hell?
My mind whirled over the dream I had just endured, none of it made sense.
"Shawn?"
I looked up to see my Dad standing in the doorway to my bedroom, he seemed concerned.
"Are you okay?"
He questioned, I slowly nodded and collapsed back onto my pillow.
"Ya, fine."
I told him quietly.
"Alright, just remember Andrew will be here to pick you up soon."
He told me, I rolled over to face him.
"Please have a safe trip to New York... And have fun out there."
He told me after a few moments of eye contact, I nodded and watched as he quietly closed my bedroom door.
"Ugh..."
I sighed out, I was supposed to be boarding a plane in less then two hours, and by that next day I'd be on stage in Madison Square Garden.
"Ya, its 256. It has to be, right?"
The familiar voice from my dream asked.
Suddenly I was sitting in a classroom at a wooden desk.
My eyes wandered to a paper before me, a math test?
I studied the problem for a short moment and realized she was off by one number.
"255."
I stated out loud as my eyes continued to stare at the paper.
Next thing I knew, a hand appeared holding a pencil.
Whoever it was erased their answer and replaced it with mine.
"Shawn! Hun, come on you need to get ready to go!"
My Mom called snapping me out of my trance.
I quickly blinked a few times, I was back in my room.
Sunlight crept its way in through my curtains and I watched as a bird swooped passed my window.
What was going on?
I mean it had to have been all a daydream of some sort.
I quickly got out of bed, and pulled my already packed suitcase out from underneath the bed.
After setting it atop my blankets, I wondered over to my closet and slid a grey long sleeved shirt on over my head.
I was too lazy to change out of my sweats, so I slipped into my nikes and hurried downstairs with my case in tow.
"Shawn! You need to eat breakfast before Andrew gets here!"
My Mom called, I sighed and hurried into the kitchen.
"Alright Mom, good?"
I asked holding up a banana for her eyes to see, she laughed and slowly approached me.
She pecked my cheek and hugged me lightly, after pulling back she spoke.
"Have fun doing what you love! Be safe my baby."
She whispered, she kissed my cheek and finally let me leave.
My mind still on the event that took place earlier.
