I turned to face him with a solemn expression, wondering what was he up to.
"What?" I queried.
He lifted my hand and examined it carefully. Then he let go and huffed his chest out, "I'm glad that you're safe."
A corner of my lips twitched into a smirk. I reminded him, "Don't forget I'm Eve. Lightening Eve." not forgetting to add a wink.
Kyle arched an eyebrow as he shifted his gaze from my hand to me. As if he didn’t understand what I was trying to say, he said, "Nelly is strong," pausing a while, he shrugged, "Guess I worried too much."
"Oh she is," I taunted as I averted my gaze to Nelly who was wiping her blood off with a white tower. "She’s nothing, she can't even lay her finger on me," I snorted and pat his shoulder, "you worried too much." I brushed past him, sending him a warm smile.
"Eve!" Kyle called after me.
"What?" I glanced over my shoulder.
"Do you want to have lunch together?"
I waved my hand, "I would love to, but I got detention, and I'm going to be late." I explained quickly and stalked off in other direction. Within seconds I was right in front of the old wooden red door. I knocked three times before I entered.
"Battle again?" I was taken aback by his question, but I should’ve known those news spread fast in school.
"Yes," I responded nonchalantly and headed towards the tiny fridge where my foods were stored. Opening the fridge, a cool breeze blew on my face. I faced the fridge for a long moment, inhaling the chilling air that I loved very much, cooling my face.
"Are you going to stay like that forever?" Max joked, but then he went back to the topic, "You're such a troublemaker... You know you don't have to be so tough on her."
Pulling myself out of my North Pole imagination, I snatched a random bottle and closed the door with a thud. I replied, shrugging. “Can't help it. She's healing too fast. If I don't end it fast, it will turn out to be an endless battle.” I turned on my heel, and drank the blood eagerly. Even gulp I took, I could feel the energy building up inside me. I licked my lips as I finished the last drop of it.
"A healer? That's rare."
I nodded in agreement. My mind was playing the scene just now. Suddenly a thought crossed in my mind. "Maybe she could be useful for the coven" but the thought quickly disappeared when I remembered how she dislike me in the first place. Neither would I get along with her too.
Max let out a sigh and he dropped his head, "Still, I need to think of a way to report that to the principal." he grimaced.
I smile wryly at him. "That’s your job teacher," I teased.

The time could go any slower than possible. I almost thrust my fist into the air when I heard my life-saver-bell rang. Not wanting to look like an idiot, I resisted it. My good mood was soon vanished when I realized I still have a meeting to go. But a smirk crawled up my face when I found myself meeting all my weirdo friends.
I pushed the pedal all the way down and flew off to my destination. The heavy fog on the road made me squint while driving. It was pathetic for a vampire who got super eyesight to squint their eyes while driving. Since I was alone in the car, I couldn't care less.
Suddenly a figure, a girl with red dress and long straight raven hair, appeared in the middle of the road standing a few feet away from my speeding car. Instantly, I pressed the brake and swerved the car. "Holy shit," I cursed as my head snapped to road; I felt a chill travelled down my spine when I saw no one. Was she playing with me? After scanning though the area for a whole minute, the fog went off and now I could see the road clearly. "What the shit." I mentally cursed and drove off. If somehow I met that joker in the future, I would definitely teach her a lesson
