It was the first day of school. You were excited yet nervous for this special day, because you just moved over summer. You hoped to make new friends, and long lasting ones, at that.
There was only one problem- you were too introverted to even introduce yourself. Socializing wasn't your thing, so you had your doubts.
You got ready and put on your favorite outfit, made yourself some toast and finally hopped on the bus, where many kids lined the rows.
Your POV
I got onto the bus and noticed everyone staring at me. Did I look weird? Was I already becoming the outcast? No, that couldn't be, I'm just an unfamiliar face. Chill. You're fine.
I was having trouble deciding where to sit.
"What if I sit next to the wrong person? What if they're mean?"
I finally made up my mind and sat next to a stylish girl with long, blonde hair. Her braid wrapped around the top of her head, almost looking like a crown. She was on her phone, probably texting someone. She seemed pretty outgoing. She even looked like she was popular.
"Let's just hope she isn't a mega-bitch..."
"G-Good morning." I say, stuttering quietly.
The girl looked at me and stared at me for quite a while, examining my face.
"Oh no... She'll probably hate me..."
The blonde gasped loudly and put a huge smile on her face. She immediately cupped my hands into hers and bounced in her seat.
"Yes, you're PERFECT for my brother! I can tell by the look in your eyes!" She exclaimed, making me blush.
"W-wha?" I stammered, being very confused.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I've just met you," She apologized. "My name's Sharena. I'm a freshman, and I love making new friends!"
"I see," I sighed. "I'm Y/N... I'm a sophomore. I'm new to this area." Sharena nodded.
"Wow, we're both new at Emblem Academy!" She smiled. "Anyways, I'm sorry for my odd behavior, I'm just like this."
"Ohh," I responded. "Um, what did you mean
by me being 'perfect' for your brother? And who is this brother of yours?""O-Oh! Let's see... there he is! At the front of the bus with his nerd friends!" Sharena pointed toward a blue haired boy about my age with blonde tips in his hair. "That's my older brother. His name's Alfonse. He's a loser at finding a girlfriend." She snickered.
"That must be tough," I said, a concerned look on my face.
"I thought you'd be perfect for Alfonse because you looked smart and cute and everything else he'd ever want in a girl." Sharena looked at me.
"W-well, I am in all advanced classes this year. And I like to plan ahead of time." I retorted.
"THAT'S GREAT," She blurted loudly. "My brother and you? This may be fate~!"
I blushed and stammered. "Sharena! Everyone can hear your voice! And please, I don't think your brother would like me, I barely know him."
"But you're so cute and pretty," Sharena booped my nose. "I'm sure he would like you."
"I don't even know what his face looks like. I can only see his Sonic-the-Hedgehog hair."
"Now, I know what you're thinking. But trust me, he's a handsome guy, even though he's a huge nerd." Sharena reassured. "See, look- Alfonse!!!"
Hollering at her brother, he turned around from his friends and looked in my direction.
"Sharena, must you be so loud? You've interrupted my conversation with-" Alfonse stopped for a second. "Who's that beside you?"
Time stopped for a moment. I looked at Alfonse's face.
"He's... actually cute?"
Time seemed to move forward again. Sharena was explaining to her brother that my name was Y/N and that I was her new friend. I was still in a daze and her voice became faded again.
"Y/N... Y/N?" Sharena called, as I was distracted. "Y/N, are you there? Yoo-hoo!"
She waved her hand in front of my face."Y-yes! I think he's very handsome!" I blurted out.
"M-me...?" Alfonse face went red.
"A-ah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it- I mean I did but I didn't mean to say it- Ah, it's not like I'm interested or anything!" I awkwardly laughed, realizing what I randomly yelled.
"How embarrassing...!"
"It's fine." Alfonse said, his face still having a rosy color. "Well Y/N, I haven't formally introduced myself."
Alfonse quickly darted towards the nearest seat to us and sat down. "I'm Alfonse. I'm a sophomore. I like science, and I'm also on the soccer team. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand.
"It's nice to meet you too." I shook his hand.
"Hey guys, we're getting close to the school!" Sharena tapped the bus window.
There it was. Emblem Academy. Where I would be spending the next two years in my high school career. It was huge. It's flag had The Fire Emblem on it, the school's symbol. In front was a fountain with a statue of Marth, the school's founder. The school was old, but it still looked brand new.
The bus came to a halt at the bus ramp, where Sharena, Alfonse and I got off.
"Come on guys, let's get inside~!" Sharena ran to the entrance of the building.
Alfonse and I looked at each other, and exchanged small smiles.
"Welcome," Alfonse put his hand on my shoulder. "To Emblem Academy."

Phew! This was my first chapter! I hoped you liked it! If you have any ideas on what to add in the future, please comment! I love hearing your thoughts.
Lolol Apparently, Alfonse has Sonic hair, because it's blue. XD
