Chapter 1: Walking In The Woods With Some Pyshcopaths

EVANGELINE'S POV

"Mom! Pull over!" Quickly, I got out the car and ran straight into the woods. Mom, right behind me, followed me yelling. "Evangeline, get your ass back here this instant!"

Ignoring her, I started dodging branches and tripping over rocks. My mind still going into shock of what I previously saw. A wolf, shifting into a man. Wow you don't here that sentence everyday.

"Evangeline! " Oh. I forgot about her. "One second mom!"  When I finally stopped, I looked around only to hear a whimper.  Looking down I saw a wolf pup, "there you are little guy, I thought I lost you,"  I said to him sadly smiling down at it.

Soon my mom came bursting through some bushes. "Evangeline Talia Logan! Who do you think you are running out the car like that! There could be psychopaths out here in the woods," she scolded at me.

I snorted loudly while scooping the pup into my arms. "Yeah mom, I would love to take a walk in the woods with some psychopaths. And besides, I had to save this little guy."

Looking down, she noticed the little pup in my arms and glared at him. "Get away from that thing Evangeline! The mother could be close and it might have rabies."

"First of all, the mother would've been here by now from us touching the pup, and I've done worst and you know it Mom, now come on it's starting to get late and you need to get ready for your date with Dad."

I started walking back to her car, Mom started walking after I was a few feet ahead of her.

"Okay little guy, I'm gonna call you Shadow for the time being. Now for the questioning, can you shift back?" Shadow looked surprise when I asked him the question, slowly he started backing up.

"No!" I quickly got up from the chair in my townhouse and walked toward him. "I'm not gonna hurt you Shadow," I spoke gently,slowly crouching down.

"I know you a werewolf and I know you were taken by rouges. I just wanna get you back to your pack. Now can you shift back Shadow?" After a while, he shook his head no.

I smiled and stood up, heading towards the kitchen. "Now I bet your hungry Shadow, I know I am. Do you want some chicken?" He barked happily and started after me.

Smiling at him I started getting our dinner ready. "Okay so I'm guessing we are in a wolf's territory for those rouges to drop you off here. But who's? And you must be pretty important in a pack - like son of an alpha or beta."

Shadow cocked his head to the side I  confusion. "Don't worry Shadow, I'm not a hunter or anything, just for the longest time in my life I've been reading werewolf stories. Who knew they would pay off. Now dinner is severed!"

I layed two plates of chicken and rice on the counter. Picking Shadow up, I placed him on the counter and sat my self on a stool and began to eat.

"Hey Shadow, if we are on another pack's territory, wouldn't they know a Wolf - not from their pack is here? And trace your scent to our house?"

Before he could at least try to answer my question, the door was knocked down, followed by a man chuckling at us. "Well look what we have here a, a Rouge and Hunter.

Well shit.

JACE'S POV

" Come on baby, Mark me as yours."

Smiling my teeth came out, just as they grazed her skin, Alec - my beta- burst through the door. Megan instantly pulled the sheets toward her body, while I growled and bared my teeth at him.

"I'm sorry Alpha" he said, bowing his head in submission. "It's just that we smelt rouges on our territory"

I glared at him, "so,  you know what to do."

"But Alpha, there is a hunter with a Rouge." I growled at the statement, no one has seen a hunter in years.

Quickly I put on a pair of jeans and began to walk out the room with Alec when Hanna called out to me. "But babe, you were just about to mark me. Come back here now."

Roaring at her, I walked back to her and slammed her into the wall. "I don't care who you are but no one orders me around, now get out of here I don't want to see your face.

Whimpering, she fled the room. And Alec and I left the room. I know what your thinking, I just yelled at my mate and I am a jackass.

Well the problem is, Hanna is not my mate. I never found her in my 23 years if life, most Alphas find their mate at age ten and that age is long gone for me and I have yet to find her.

Giving into my father's wishes, I started to date the Beta's daughter and slut, Hanna.

Going past the office, we heard the phone ring. Alec turned to me, wondering what to do.

"Alec go deal with him the hunter and Rouge and throw them in the dungeons. I'll answer the phone and when I'm done I'll deal with them." Nodding he went downstairs where some pack warriors were.

I walked into the office and picked up the phone.

"Alpha of the Dark Moon pack speaking, who am I talking to?"

"Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack and you took our son."

Sigh. This is going to take a while.
