I'll give you a chance-Ch12

After pondering about it for a while, Mairin decided to go and give Lysandre her answer. Alain remained by her side just in case, he didn't try anything crafty. Mairin went up to the man she began to hate and detest so much to the core of her existence. She went over and began to show him the pain he caused her over the amount of years she was subjected to his abuse. He looked up and became shook with emotions surging through him. Not knowing what to do, he held his head in his hands hoping the flashbacks racing around in his head; would stop him from losing his sanity. Its too painful, an excruciating pain hit his head and Mairin held onto him to calm him down only for now. She really didn't want anything to do with him. However given her circumstances, she has no choice but to try and accept her father; as he's the only parent she's got left. They say never get too caught up in your past, it will only stop you from moving forward. Mairin finally began to give in to the voices telling her: give him a last chance. Lysandre felt the shaking stop, meaning his moment of anxiety is over when he felt a small fragile girl elope him in a hug. The hug began to bring light back to his heart and he tightened his grip on his daughter, not too much so he didn't kill her. His heart is being purified by this enigmatical light shooting out from Mairin and he then backs away and looks up and smiles at her. Everyone in the room could actually tell this is a genuine smile and not the smile of someone who is trying too hard. Alain feels himself letting his guard down a bit and Lysandre gestures for Joshua to come join him in this family hug.

Lysandre: it really is nice, having your two kids back in your arms.
Mairin: Just so we're clear, you're not out of the woods yet!
Lysandre: Fair enough, honey.
Joshua: Dad... Are you really gonna change?
Lysandre: It's weird, but whatever tainted my soul has disappeared and all the evil I once had inside me... Dispersed into nothingness.
Mairin: Well, we'll know when we see a change from you.
Joshua: Definitely...
Mairin: Alain! Everyone... Are you guys alright?
Leanna: I'm just about alive..
Lysandre: Malva...
Malva: You killed your poor subordinate over there..
Officer: HALT!
Mairin: A-Alain... Who is that?
Alain: That's the police..
Mairin: Did you call the police on my dad?
Alain: I did before, we were on our way to save you...
Officer: Is this the man, Alain? The one who almost destroyed all of humanity?
Alain: Yes sir...
Officer: You're under arrest, Lysandre. Please come with me quietly and discreetly so we don't have to make such a scene.
Lysandre: Understood...
Kids.. I'm gonna be gone for a while. Mairin sweetie you continue your journey with Alain... Joshua I wish you and Leanna eternal happiness.
I'm so sorry.. I'm gonna go serve my time and hopefully when that's done.. I'll be reborn as a new person. I love you my two beautiful kids...
Officer: If you're his children, you're free to come visit him in Lumiose city. He'll most likely have a trial, so I'll let you know of the details. That's it, now come with me.
Lysandre: Goodbye my children *He kisses both of them on the head*
Alain: M-Mairin... I'm sorry... You as well Joshua...
Joshua: It's for the best...
Mairin: I'm not mad Alain! I'm grateful.. Thank you for doing this for me.. It's the first time someone has ever cared for me so much.. other than Joshua and Leanna.  Oh also my Pokemon and Steven too!
Alain: I would do anything for you, and you know that.
Mairin: I know that now :)
Joshua: What he means is he L-love---
Alain: *Clamps his mouth shut and blushing furiously*
Mairin: He loves what?
Alain: I love... Food of course! Like yeah, who doesn't? Haha...
Mairin: Okay, I'm actually hungry anyways so let's go!
Steven: Mairin, are you guys alright?
Cynthia: We've dealt with the grunts and we saw Lysandre get taken away...
Mairin: It's okay guys honestly...
let's get out of here!
Alain: I'm starving too...
Steven: Well then, I say let's go for some burgers to build up that appetite of yours!
Cynthia: Sounds good!
Mairin: I'm gonna eat till I pop!
Alain: Alright burgers sound good...
Joshua: Hey man, why are you scared to say I love you to her, are you guys not dating yet?
Alain: I actually haven't asked her out... I may have said.. I love you to her a lot.  I want her to believe it; when we're official.
Joshua: Fair enough haha!

The burgers began to dance in their mouths, the tangy-sweetness of the burger sauce; trickling their tastebuds and letting them know they're in for a treat.  The freshness of the salad began to sink in, with healthy nutritious vibes flowing through them; giving them the answer they needed after the heavy load they just did, saving the world.  The refreshing cold cola they drunk, soothes all their worries and slightly giving them a brain freeze from sipping too much.  But after a good munch they all decided to go rest up and meet up tomorrow.

Outside the restaurant a lady dressed in white is watching, and feels tears falling from her eyes. 

"You've grown up so much, Mairin."

Her mum will always be watching her how cute :')
