Being a member of the E.V.C.H (Expert Virus Controllers and Hackers) is very important, but someone's got to do it. We have to travel the world wearing superhero costumes and fight virus related crime.
Just kidding! My job isn't as great as it sounds. I'm really sitting in an office all day typing up codes to save laptops and computers around the world.
However, today was slightly different. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock paired with my cat licking my nose.
"Okay! Okay! I'm up!" I giggled.
It was 7:00am and I was due to be at work for 9:00am. I walked down the stairs carefully as I wasn't fully awake yet and went to my kitchen to make some breakfast. I decided on making some simple scrambled eggs and bacon for myself. Whilst I was cooking the bacon, I made a strong cup of coffee and l answered a fresh flood of emails that popped up when I logged into my work profile.
After eating, putting on my uniform and my makeup I had to locate my cat so that she didn't get the sneaky idea of dashing out of the door when I left to try and give me a heart attack! I found her asleep on my bed, well out of reach of the door. I stroked her fur and said goodbye; to which was replied with a loud mew. I ran back downstairs, now becoming late, grabbed my shoulder bag and dashed out of the door to my car.
Whilst driving along I couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. I was getting sudden chills. I brushed it aside and said to myself that I was cold because it was December and all of the plants were cowering to the frost, concluding that I was (in fact) secretly a plant.
I signed into work and met my good friend Helen and we chatted until I got to my desk.
"See ya later (y/n)!" She sang.
I just smiled and waved at her as she disappeared behind a door to another set of offices.
In work, we all have levels going from 1-4 depending on our capabilities to dealing with complex viruses and that is how our offices are decided. For example I'm a level 3 and Helen is at the top (level 4) so we are in different departments. I went to take a virus off from our board to try and crack and something caught my eye. Someone had accidentally put a level 4 virus in our department.
"G-71TC4, huh?"
Why not give it a go, I was top in my department and had everyone come to me with their problems so it shouldn't be too bad.
I sat down at my desk and logged in. Whilst my computer was starting up I looked in the folder for the memory stick with the virus on it. I found it and plugged it in. Almost immediately the screen turned black. A message was typing itself on the screen:
