As they came near the academy, Yuki started getting nervous. She was afraid what her old friend, Yori (short for Sayori) would think of her now, what her father would think of her, what everyone would think of her. "Kaname, what do you think they'll say?" "I don't know, Yuki" Kaname replied with a small smile. They continued walking forwards. Then she saw it, Cross Academy, for the first time in weeks. Yuki couldn't say anything, couldn't do anything except stare, mouth open.
She first caught sight of the moon dormitory, and she was surprised to find that she had missed even that part of the academy.
She next spotted the sun dormitory, her old home where she used to go to class and sleep.
"Wow," she murmured under her breath. "I'd forgotten how wondrous this place was." She continued, staring ahead. "You alright Yuki?" Kaname asked. "I...I... I don't know, Kaname." "Its been so long, yet such a short time that I've been away, I don't know what to feel..."
She grasped his hand as they slowly walked down into the courtyard, Yuki seeing things that happened in the past, time she had spent with Zero and Yori. She thought of how simple life had been back then, when she didn't know she was to be the heir of the Kuran family...
She jumped, having stepped on a stick that was lying on the ground. As she recuperated, she heard a familiar yell/scream. "Yuuuuukkkkkkiiiiiii! My little girl!" yelled Headmaster Kaien. "You came back!" He continued ranting, "I thought you wouldn't come and see me, you dear dad!" he said, still yelling. "Um, headmaster, Yuki needs some food and rest, as we've been traveling for a while now and she hasn't had enough food for a while" Kaname Said, interrupting his rant."Oh, Golly me, I've forgotten my manners, come on, come in, come in!" Kaien said. As he led them to his/Yuki's old home, Yuki thought about how strange it felt to be back here, after so long, after all that had happened. Kaien finally got there and as they went in, they saw that there was dinner set on the table. "Were you expecting someone, Headmaster?" Kaname asked him. "No, I just always do this habitually now, because of Yuki and Zero, when they lived with me, but both of you have moved out and I'm so lonely!" He replied, "Oh, Yuki, my little girl, will you stay here for a little while? I've missed you so much, and it would do us some good to talk again like we used to! Please?" He pleaded. " I guess" Yuki said. "Yaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!" Kaien said in response to her answer. "Here, you can stay in your old room!" He continued. "Thank you," Yuki replied. "I'm going to go to bed then, I'm very tired, goodnight" she left then, wandering to her room. As she walked in, she gasped. Zero was standing behind the door. "I thought I told you to stay away," He said in a quiet voice. "I...I...I wanted to come home and see father," Yuki stammered. "Please, let me sleep and stay for a little bit, for father? PLease, Zero?" She asked, feeling thrills of fear and love go down her spine. "Fine," Zero replied, "For tonight, I will let you." He left then, leaving Yuki buzzing with happiness and fear. As she fell asleep, she thought how strange this all was...
