Justin's POV
"Mom! You said you would be back tomorrow." Nicole whined as she talked on the phone. I stood in the doorway watching her as she stood right outside and argued with her mother. Leaning against the doorway, I chuckled finding the whole scenario pretty amusing. The same wrinkle in her forehead was on display as she was talking, actually showing how irritated she really was.
"Why can't I just be alone? I'm not twelve anymore, mom!" She told her mother annoyingly as she grew more and more frustrated by the seconds. The volume on her phone was a bit high, so I could hear her mother being just as irritated as Nicole when she talked.
"Fine! Can I at least stay at Zoe's? She's close to school and yeah. I'm sure her parents won't mind." She asked, her tone a bit softer this time as she seated her self on the steps, her back against me.
"Yeah, see you wednesday.. Mhm! Love you too.. Bye." She mumbled hanging up as she let out a frustrated sigh. Putting her phone down beside her she crossed her arms over her chest and looked down the driveway.
"Trouble in paradise?" I asked pushing myself of the doorway and walked down the steps so I could sit beside her.
"Just my mother! She's literally treating me like a baby." She said looking at me, giving me a small smile. "What did your manager want, anything serious?" She asked changing the subject. Which I didn't mind.
"I have to go to New York for an interview tomorrow." I replied, letting out a sigh as well. Causing her to frown at me.
"You don't want to?"
"Well, it's not that I don't want to do the interview, but it's just been a while since last time I did one, and I'm starting to feel nauseous on how people will react." I admitted, telling her how I really felt about stepping into the spotlight again. I looked down at her, finding her already looking at me with a sad smile. The sad smile only lasted for a second and two before it turned into a grin.
"Well if you are just as smart mouthed with the interviewer as you are with me, you'll do just fine." She said, nudging my shoulder with hers, causing me to let out a laugh.
"Thanks. You'll be okay tomorrow though? I mean without me babysitting you." I asked smirking, causing her to glare at me with a small smile playing on her lips.
"I'll survive" she responded biting her lower lip as she looked me in the eyes, making my heart flutter. Her eyes makes my stomach do flip flops inside, and yes I don't care if I sound like a girl saying it, because it's fucking true. Our moment got interrupted by my phone signalizing I had a message. Breaking the eye contact first, I quickly tugged my phone out of my sweatpants and unlocked it. Reading the message, I let out a snort causing Nicole to give me a questioning look.
I gave her my phone and she took it, still not figuring out why I gave it to her, before she read the message out loud.
"Hi, Justin! Do you mind if Nicole spend the night at your place. I don't like her being all alone in our house." She read out loud almost shouting it. "You've got to be kidding with me." She groaned before she gave me my phone back. I quickly typed an answer, saying it was no problem, before Nicole slapped my shoulder when I began laughing.
"It's not funny." She pouted crossing her arms over her chest.
"But it kinda is." I replied, causing her to glare even more in my direction.
"Oh, come on! It will be fun. Me and you, having a sleepover." I said smirking as I stood up, dragging her with me as well so we stood face to face.
Nicole's POV
"We can braid each others hair, paint our nails, have pillow fights in our underwear and watch scary movies." Justin said in a high pitched voice, trying to sound like a girl. Which he miserably failed.
"Have you ever had a sleepover?" I asked raising my eyebrow causing him to shake his head.
"Well, hate to break it to you, Bieber. But that's not how it goes by." I said smirking.
"Oh, really? Then what do we do on a sleepover?" He asked putting his hands on my waits as he pulled me towards him, making our bodies collide against each other. I looked him in the eyes as he was staring intensely on me as well.
"It depends" I said, barely above a whisper. Because his eyes was staring into mine intensely, causing me to get lost in them and hypnotized by his golden orbs.
"Depends on what?" Justin asked, whispering as well. His eyes never leaving mine.
"I'll guess you'll find out tonight then." I replied as I turned around getting out of his grip on my waist. I looked over my shoulder smirking at him before I made my way inside. Not missing Justin mumble tease behind me. Causing me to smile to myself.
