I went down stairs and into the kitchen, where I found my dad at the kitchen table drinking his usual morning coffe and reading the newspaper. He was dressed in a black suit, ready for work.

"Hey paps" I said while walking over to the fridge and grabbed something small to eat, considering I didn't have much time before school.

"Hey sweetie, ready for school?" He answered as he put down his newspaper giving me a genuine smile meaning a good morning. Well in my case it's not a good morning, considering it's monday and school. So no dad, it's not a good morning.

"Nah, I hate mondays, the only thing that's good about them is cheer practice" I said while sitting down at the table right across from him. He just chuckled in return, and finished his coffee before standing up and putting it in the sink before he went out from the kitchen towards the direction of the living room, probably to get to his home office. As soon as he went out my brother walks through the door, looking just as tired as I'm feeling, only wearing a pair of basketball shorts.

"Hey little sis" he said as he walked over and kissed the top of my head, and walked over to pour himself a cup of coffee.

"Hey Nate, how's it going" I asked while he sat down right beside me, yawning as he rubbed his eyes with his fist.

"Pretty good, going to practise soon, big game on Sunday" he said while he cracked a small smile through his tired eyes, who was still trying to adjust the bright light coming through the window.

"Yeah, that's true, maybe I'll come watch my awesome brother play amazing soccer." I said with a huge smile on my lips and poked his cheek jokingly as I quoted one of the articles in a newspaper we read yesterday about Nate and his career. He kinda of hate when I joke about him being professional. He don't like the attention of being the golden boy.

He chuckled at my behavior and nodded, while drinking the rest of his coffe.

"Remember after school that it's your moms week. And the clock is 7:45, you have 15 minutes before school starts." my dad said, while he came back into the kitchen again holding some files in one of his hands and a briefcase in the other hand.

"Shit! I totally forgot that" I responded while I stood up quickly and went to get my school stuff, then walking over to my dad in a hurry.

"Yeah, you always forget and please Nicole, language" he said and smirked before his face went stern when he mentioned my language.

I just rolled my eyes, and wrapped my arms around his waist, and gave him a thight hug.

"I'm gonna miss you, dad" I said while I let him go, I stood right infront of him and looked up at him. Giving me a sad smile, he bent down and kissed me on the forehead.

"I'm gonna miss you too, little one" he said and pulled me in for another thight hug. I hated to leave my dad for a whole week. Just as much as I hate this arrangement. Divorced parents suck. Well technically mine aren't divorced, but you get the point.

"Well, I better get going, don't wanna be late" I said and made my way over to Nate.

"Bye big bro, I'm gonna miss you as well" I said and gave him a thight hug as I rested my head on his chest. He kissed my forehead as he held his arms wrapped around my petite body compared to his.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Nic" he answered.

I gave him one last squeeze before I let go and grabbed my things from the kitchen floor before I went to the front door and yelled;

"Bye I love you guys, see you in a week" I slammed the door shut, before they could throw in a reply. I hate goodbyes, they are so hard, even if it's just for a week. I'm really a family person and love all my family more than anything. You now you can always count on them no matter what and being away from the one side is always hard.

I trew my bag in the backseat of my white Range Rover, before jumping into the front seat and turning on the engine, before speeding down the driveway and driving towards school.

After about ten minutes of driving I turned into the school parking lot, and found a free spot. I looked at my phone only to see I have three minutes before the first period start, typical me to always be late. Groaning I rushed into the school's halway and found my locker, right when the bell went off.

"Fuck" I cursed under my breath, before taking my history book, and slamming my locker shut, before sprinting towards my classroom in a hurry. Why does this school need to be so freaking big? I mentally thought as I was busy not trying to trip while I was rushing to my first period.

When I finally came into the classroom three minutes late, I opened the door capturing everyones attention, inclouding my teacher. Fucking great! today everyone had to be on time. It's so typical when I'm just a few minutes late.

"Nice of you to join us, Ms. James" my teacher said while looking at me, and some of the student snickerd. Probably heard that line hundered times before, and they're probably snickering cause the schools sweetheart is late. That is usually the nickname I go by, since I get good grades and always act nice around almost everyone.

"Sorry, it won't happen again Ms. Hale" I answered ashamed and looked around the classroom trying to spot a seat.

"It's okay, don't let it happen again, just find a seat" she answered and continued her lesson.

I spotted an available seat next to my bestfriend Brooke in the back, so I took a seat and found my notebook and a pencil ready to take notes. Thank God for summer vacation in a few weeks, because my focus in class is starting to reach a breaking point.

"Hey bitch" Brooke said and grinned at me. Me and Brooke have an amazing friendship and we call eachother names all the time. I usually go by the name bitch, since Brooke think it suits me. Yeah I know it's weird, but what is a friendship without the fooling around?

"Hey hoe" I answerd back and winked at her. We both kept quiet after that as we didn't wanna get in trouble. Usually the teacher has to move us apart since the two of us can't keep our mouth shut. But in history we acted well, since this was the only class we could sit together without one of us moving.

The rest of the lesson, was just as boring as always, history is not my subject at all. And the look on everyone else faces, not theirs either. I think everyone sat in their own little world and not listening on what the teacher had to say.

Please vote. It really means the world to me!
