"Why is she always acting like that?" I asked the guy standing next to me to welcome the dancers. I was 90% sure that he was in my Anatomy class, but I had never spoken to him before.
"Who?"
"Lexie Washer. Why is she always so rude?"
The guy looked at me and laughed slightly.
"Didn't you date her like a month ago?"
I felt my face redden and I turned away.
"Yeah whatever." I turned to face the plane that was descending in front of us...or rather, through the window of the airport. But still in front of us.
"There she is." I whispered, looking on as a thin brunette girl could be seen walking off the plane.
"You're going crazy, man." The guy from my Anatomy class piped in from beside me. "Lexie's behind us, she wasn't on the plane."
"You know what, just shut up man." I walked away from the window and away from the Anatomy guy, plopping down in a seat that was usually reserved for the people who were about to board the planes. I could see Lexie out of the corner of my eye, standing with Anna and the rest of the dance team by the doors where the new dancers would come through within moments.
"This is so chill." Hunter Rocks, another volunteer, said from beside me. "We get to escort hot girls with rockin bods to their dorm rooms. Think any of them will fall for me?"
"Isn't your ex coming off that plane soon Sarth?" Kyle Collins asked when no one ventured to respond to Hunter. "That Aria girl?"
"Yo, you scored one of them Sarth?" Hunter spoke again, "Nice going."
"Emphasis on score-d." I replied. "I don't think I have her anymore."
"Come on man, I'm sure she'll be into you the second she sees you. I know I would be!" Hunter nodded before pausing and thinking about what he said. "That sounded really gay."
