I had no idea how much time had passed, considering this cell lacked both windows or a clock, but eventually Liam came to fetch me from my cell.

In the time he was gone, I had done a plethora of things. Including; attempting to lick my elbow (and not succeeding), practicing my pig-latin, perfecting my handstands, and doing some yoga poses and stretches in the hopes that one day I'll be able to put my foot behind my head. All pretty productive things if I do say so myself.

As Liam approached the gate, I saluted him, "Ello-hay, officer-ay!"

"I called Mrs. Henderson, she said she wasn't coming to pick you up this time." He stated, ignoring my impressive foreign language skills.

Groaning and laying back on the hard floor, I grumbled, "Grouchy lady must be too busy with the kids." Or maybe she was making me walk home as part of my punishment for getting detained again. Most likely the latter.

I stood up and walked to the gate door, awaiting Liam to open it. When he made no movement of doing so, I gave him a glowering look.

"C'mon man, we both got places to be. Open the thingy" I urged.

Liam smirked, "You can't be in that big of a rush, or you wouldn't have stayed here so openly for so long." This time he looked me up and down and continued to tease, "Besides, you're not going anywhere till I hear the magic words." He said those last words with a cocky grin.

On the outside my expression was unamused, but on the inside I was enjoying the seeing the officers more loose and playful side. "If you don't open this door, I'm going to shank you?" Those words seemed magical enough to me, but I guess they didn't suffice for the young officer.

"Tsk tsk tsk." Liam muttered as he crossed his arms.

I groaned through gritted teeth, "Will you please open the door Mister Officer Liam Sir?" As much as I was enjoying his teasing attitude, I did want to get out of here today.

He laughed, breaking into a smile, then slowly unlocked the gate, "Look at that, you're still breathing even after saying 'please'."

Liam's smile was contagious and I couldn't help but return one. The gate slid open, but this time I covered my ears to reduce the cringe.

As I exited the cell, I dusted off my jeans. "When I was a little girl, I always wanted a handsome prince to save me from a locked tower, "I said before turning and winking at Liam, "But I guess you'll do." Liam playfully pouted at me.

When we re-entered the main office, the room was empty of the Sheriff.

"Jerrod is out for lunch, and I'm almost done for the day. Been waiting for the next shift guy to come in before I left." Liam walked over to a brown crate that looked similar to a lost-and-found box you'd see in schools. As he pulled out my bag, Liam gave me a concerned look. "So earlier when you said you had important stuff in here. You didn't uh... You don't mean you have drugs or alcohol in here do you?"

I smiled sarcastically and cocked my head at the officer. "Well let's see... I have 5 ounces of LSD, another 5 grams of shrooms, and 10 grams of good 'ole mary-ju-wanna. Feel free to confiscate it all, but if you're gonna take it for your own needs then you better pay me. Stuff is pretty expensive these days." As if I knew what I was talking about.

I flinched as he unzipped my backpack, rolling my eyes at his inability to take a joke. Then again I guess I'd be cautious if I were dealing with me too.

"A... Polaroid camera?" Liam asked. I rolled my eyes to the ceiling and my nose twitched as the guy continued to question the contest of my stuff. "Wow, you have quite the amount of film in here."
