Brendon and I followed behind the tall boy towards the park near our school. We decided to skip school and by "we" I mean Dallon and I. Brendon never wants to skip school so he wasn't a fan of our plan but followed anyway.

Dallon lead us over to a picnic table where we all sat down to discuss this matter. Dallon sat on the oppsite side of us and nervously played with his fingers.

I had no idea why Brendon had punched Dallon. It was something I did not think Brendon had in him. I assume it was just pent up anger from the years of bullying. We had to take Dallon into a school restroom to clean up his nose. It was already turning black and purple and looked slightly out of place. Brendon knuckles were red and he kept rubbing him. " Um I guess I should explain why I am friends with them" Dallon stammered, shivering slightly. " Yeah that's why we are here" I replied. " Well um when I started freshmen year I ran into their crowd. I managed to convince them that I could be useful to them. Mostly they had me cover for them when they skipped class and things like that. If I didn't I think they would have bullied me like they do Brendon.. I couldn't have my family worrying about me. I never wanted them to hurt you Brendon. EVER" Dallon told us, looking at Brendon and I.

There was obviously something bigger than simply being afraid of the group, but he didn't look like he wanted to share more. Brendon seemed to notice this too and placed his hand over Dallon's shaking one. Their fearful eyes locked together and seemed to have a silent conversation.

I stood up and walked towards a field of stunning oak trees. I felt like they needed space to have a proper conversation, I mean it must be hard to have one just by looking at each other. As I approached the old knarly oak I smiled. I used to climb on this tree when I was a small child.

'Don't fall and break your neck. Our parents might actually come home if you did.' My brother's voice mocked in my head. I never fell and my parents rarely came home. With my brother's voice in my head I started to climb the tree, going the same path I always had. The freedom of climbing returned to me just as it had when I was a young girl. My numb hands pulled me higher into the air and soon had pulled me into a large branch.

I sat my back againist another branch, my feet swinging in the air, and my invading eyes staring at Brendon and Dallon having a coversation. Dallon started laughing and Brendon flashed his charming smile. I assumed they changed the depressing topic to an upbeat and funny one.

I soon realized that I missed this tree. This was always my favorite part of coming to the park when I was younger. I decided I needed to make more time for coming to the park. 'I should maybe even take Brendon here. Or my brothers. Maybe even Dallon. He seems like a good kid. It looks like Brendon likes him.' I pondered, while staring at the few remaining leaves on the branches.

The occasional gust of wind was brisk and would redden my pale cheeks. This time of year was amazing. Leaves would fall off the trees and the cold weather would push the year's summer activites would be replaced with sitting by a fireplace and drinking coffee or warm tea or picking out a Christmas tree for the much awaited holiday.

"Hey monkey! How is the view from up there?" Brendon yelled up at me.

Dallon was smiling widely up at me so I assumed the punching thing was under the bridge. He seemed to go from depressed to upbeat very quickly. 'Maybe he's bipolar like me' I thought to myself.

"Not to good since I'm looking you Beebs!" I yelled back with a smirk.

"You're a jerk Hallow" Brendon stated with grin.

" You love me though" I replied slickly.

"You two are awesome" Dallon spoke up, looking at Brendon then back at me.

We all laughed and ended up deciding that if they didn't see this view they would die. So they climbed into tall tree. They definitely climbed slower than me and with more caution.

"Wow..." Dallon breathed out.

"Yeah wow.." Brendon agreed.

I pulled my small pocket knife from my front pocket and opened it.

"To a new friendship?" I asked.

Brendon nods in response but Dallon looked confused.

I started to crave my name into the branch that we sat on very carefully. After I finished Brendon and Dallon followed in persuit.

"You guys don't have inculde me in your little group. I just wanted to explain everything so you guys wouldn't hate me. I mean I could use new friends because the ones I have suck. But don't feel like you need to take me in out of pity. I could go now if you wan-'' Dallon's rambling was cut off by Brendon saying:

"Dallon we want to be your friends. We don't care if you were friends with those jerks. They are stupid and you're smart. You don't need them." He said it without missing a beat.

"Welcome to our small group of outcasts. Just make sure to bring snacks when we have sleep-overs" I said with a huge smile on my face.

"You guys are awesome, and are gummy bears okay?" Dallon laughed out.

"Brendon please marry this human being. He knows how amazing gummy bears are. I would marry him but I'm to lazy" I stated feeling a smile in my chest.

Brendon laughed with his bottom lip poking out.

"I feel like this is going to be a great friendship'' Brendon smiled so brightly it almost blinded me.

It was amazing that negative thing could turn into a magnificent everlasting friendship, even though there was many bumps in the road.
