It's funny how life works. You're doing your normal routine. Go to school, create drama, possibly get in trouble, go to sports practice, and then go home. And then one day, your life turns upside down, sideways, and then thrown to the ground. Everything changes. It can be by a person, an event, a choice, or all three.

It was July 17th at exactly 8:59 pm. I was walking down Bleaker Street when I heard the voice of an angel. There, I just stood there listening to this sweet voice. It was smooth like peanut butter and soft like marshmallows. It made my insides turn into goo. I was standing on Bleaker Street, dumbfounded. Suddenly the music stopped.

I was no longer standing. I was in between the ground and another human being.

"Ughhh." I groaned against the cold concrete sidewalk.

The human was not heavy, but they were on me at an awkward angle. My chest was pressed down, making it hard to breath. My arms were behind me, on my back and under the other human. The person faintly smelled of coconut.

"Shoot sorry."

Abruptly the weight of the other human was released. I quickly got up and dusted myself off. When I finally looked up, I saw two ocean eyes staring back at me. Just like when I heard the voice, I was immediately in a trance. We just stared at each other. It must have been at least 2 minutes, before she spoke.

"I'm so sorry. It's just that I thought you were a guy that has been harassing me for awhi-"

I interrupted her with a hug. She looked so scared and innocent. I was immediately drawn to her. She sighed in my arms. That almost made me melt right then and there.

"Do you have a phone?" I asked her.

She nodded and produced it out of her bag. I took it and punched in my number.

"If you ever need anything, text me or even call me." I said seriously.

I know we just met but I had a feeling that we were going to see each other very soon.

She swiftly nodded.

And with that we parted ways.
