Chapter 17

12th November 2013

*Zayn's POV*

Knock, knock.

I'm woke up by the sound of knocking on our door. I open my eyes and see that Kyle has barged in.

"Wake up!" He says. "Wake up! It's time to for me to pick up your dirty clothes." I sit up and glare at Kyle for waking me up. He laughs when he sees my face.

"What?" He shrugs.

"You woke me up." I say groggily.

"That was the point." He says. I look over to Niall and Liam's beds. Niall's still asleep and Liam isn't in his bed. He must be in the shower. Kyle sees me look over at Niall and smirks. He walks over to Niall's bed and starts to shake him awake.

"Go away Kyle." Niall says as he tries to put the covers over his head. Over the past couple of days, Kyle has actually been friendly to us and of course at first we thought it was a trap. Liam still thinks it is but me and Niall are okay with him...for now. Niall and Liam's guards are still horrible and hardly talk to us. They hardly even come into our rooms, except for when they have to take Niall and Liam somewhere.

"I'm not going to go away until you wake up." Kyle says and Niall reluctantly gets up.

"What do you want Kyle!" Niall moans. Someone is obviously in a bad mood.

"Olivia said I need to pick up your dirty clothes for her to wash." Kyle tells us and I walk over to my cupboard to get my dirty clothes. Niall does the same. I open the cupboard door and pick up some clothes. I leave something for me to wear today and then close the cupboard. I throw my clothes into Kyle's face and he quickly catches them in his arms. Niall does the same but Kyle expects it this time and catches it easily.

"What about Liam's?" Kyle asks and just then Liam walks out of the bathroom.

"What about my what?" Liam asks and then he sees Kyle. "Oh. Hi Kyle." He says.

"Hey Liam. I need your dirty clothes." Kyle says to him.

"Okay." Liam says as he walks to his cupboard and gets his dirty clothes out. He throws them to Kyle and Kyle thanks him. Kyle walks to the door and then opens it.

"I'll be back later to give you your presents." Kyle says and then he walks out the door and closes it.

"I still don't trust him." Liam says.

"I do. He seems cool." Niall says. I nod in agreement.

"We don't even know anything about him. Why he's here. Why he's helping Olivia." Liam says and I start to understand why Liam doesn't trust Kyle.

"Why don't we ask him when he comes back." I suggest.

"Yeah! That's a good idea!" Niall says nodding his head.

"Okay. We'll ask him when he gets back." Liam says but he doesn't look sure. I smile and Niall smiles too. Now all we have to do is wait for Kyle to come back.

"I'm back!" Kyle says as he barges in with a bag in his hand. "And I have presents...well a present." We all look at him confused as he puts the present on the bed.

"What do you mean a present?" I ask.

"Well...only Liam has a present today." Kyle tells us and we all look at him in shock.

"Why?" Niall asks annoyed. "I was looking forward to today's present."

"Why don't you open it and find out what's in there." He tells Liam. Liam walks over to the bag and opens it up. He pulls the present out and to our surprise, its a laptop. That's why Niall and I didn't get one. We already have laptops.

"Oh." Niall says. "I understand now."

"Me too." I agree.

"I better be going." Kyle says as he walks towards the door.

"Wait." I say and he turns back around to face me.

"What?" He asks.

"Can I...well we...ask you something?" I ask and he nods his head.

"Of course. What is it?" He asks as he sits on the bed closes to him, which is Liam's. I hesitate before I speak.

"Why are you here? Why are you helping Olivia?" I ask and he sighs.

"Well..." He says dragging out the 'L'. "I'm her brother." We all stare at him shocked and confused. If he is her brother then why is he nice to us? It has to be a trap!

"You're probably wondering why I'm nice to you." He says reading my thoughts. We all nod and he continues. "In reality I'm not as horrible as I make out. Olivia thinks I am, but I'm not. I just want to please her. She's my little sister and I would do any thing for her."

"Of course you would." I say. "I would do anything for my little sisters." I say remembering Doniya, Waliyha and Safaa. Tears form in my eyes as I think of them but I don't let them fall. I just look at Kyle and wait for him to continue. He looks at me with guilt in his eyes and I think I know why. He knows how it feels to have a little sister and he probably feels bad about the fact that I can't see my sisters again.

"I better go." He says as he quickly rushes to the door. He walks out the door and we all look at each other surprised. Who would have thought that Kyle was caring.

"Are you okay?" Niall asks but I don't answer, I just shake my head. A tear slips down my cheek and I wipe it away. Niall walks over to me and rubs my back. His eyes are full of tears that haven't fell.

"Everything's going to be okay." He tells me. Usually I'm the one telling him everything is going to be okay but now its the other way around. It makes me smile. By now Liam has came over as well and is sitting on the other side of me.

"We're going to get out of here and you are going to see your sisters again." Niall says and another tear falls down my cheek. I want to believe him, but I don't. If we do ever get out of here, it wont be for years and some of us will probably be dead. I shake my head to clear the horrible thoughts and look at Niall.

"I know." I lie. He smiles at me and stands up.

"Get some sleep." He says and I nod my head. Usually I'm the big brother in these situation but today its Niall. He always makes me feel better.

"Good night Zayn." Liam says and I smile at him.

"Good night." I say and then I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
