Chapter 20

*Inspector Hughes POV*

I sit on my computer, looking through Kyle and Olivia's files. Well mostly Kyle's as Olivia hasn't got much in hers. Only that once she  stole something when she was about 13, and that's worst thing she's ever done. Kyle on the other hand had a lot of things on his file. First of all, he's in a gang that has done a lot of bad things, including killing someone in another gang, and second of all he used to sell drugs.

This is about the 5th time I've looked through their file but I might have missed something vital. The last time I looked, I found out that when they were younger they lived in a mansion with their mum and dad but had to move as their mum an dad split up. I also discovered that no one had bought the mansion after they moved and that it was abandoned, so I had some police check it out. The mansion is in the middle of nowhere and has no address so it's hard for the officers to find it. They should find it soon though, as they started looking two days ago and it shouldn't be that hard to find.

I've told Greg the news but I think I've gave him to much hope. Niall and the others might not even be there. They might be somewhere else. I do hope they are there though. Through this case, I've become good friends with Greg and I don't want to see him sad again. Last time we checked a place out and they weren't there, he stayed in his room for about a week. The only times he came out was when he had to eat.

My phone rings and I pick it up whilst still reading something.

"Hello?" I say into the phone.

"Hello Inspector. It's Jordan." Jordan says. When I hear that it's Jordan I quickly take notice of what he's saying. He's one of the officers in charge of finding the mansion.

"Have you found it?" I ask.

"Yes." He answers, and I smile.

"Are they in there?" I ask.

"We don't know yet, but we're guessing they are." Jordan says.

"Why do you say that?" I ask confused.

"The lights are on and we saw a girl in the window. We didn't see her face but from what we saw it looks like Olivia." He tells me.

"Why haven't you marched in yet!" I say annoyed.

"Because there's only two of us and about seven or eight of them. That's why I rang. We need you and some back up." He tells me.

"Why are there only two of you?" I ask, confused on why only two officers went searching.

"There are more of us but they are in a different area looking for the mansion. We've called for them and they told us they were on their way." He tells me.

"Then why do you need me and back up." I ask.

"Because there are only four more of us and I thought you would want to be here, as it's your case." He says and I understand.

"Okay. Send me your whereabouts and I will be there soon. Don't do anything until we get there." I say and then I hang up. I walk out my office and call for back up. Jordan sends me the whereabouts and we then take off. It takes about half an hour to get there but it takes another half an hour to find the mansion as it's in the woods.

When I see Jordan I walk over to him. He's hiding behind some trees with some other officers.

"Have you figured out how many are in there?" I ask when I get to him.

"There are eight men and Olivia. Probably one of the men is Kyle and I also saw that escapee Joey." Jordan tells me and I nod.

"Okay." I say. I then turn to my team and motion for them to follow me. First I make sure that no one is by the window so they cant see me coming and then I start to move forward. I walk to the window and hide underneath it. I quickly look inside and see that Joey and Kyle are not in there. Olivia and a few other men are but not them. I hide underneath it again and then run to the back of the house to see if I can find Niall and the others.
