The maze (Exo)

Task 1

Luhan couldnt grasp the situation as he woke up. He remembered going to a concert with the members. And suddenly falling into a deep pit.

What exactly happened? He rubbed his temples and sat up . It was dark, just a dim light through the fire lights from the walls. It was a long corridor in front of him.

He studied his surroundings carefully. He was alone. And a blade was placed beside him. A short one, sharp enough to slice open someone's throat; elegant one, with carvings on the holder. ; black evil one, as if calling for it's owner.

Luhan took the blade and weighed it. It's very light and handy. It seemed to fit in his hands like a puzzle.

But first things first. A cold strong breeze blew away Luhan's thoughts and he realized it wasn't a suitable time to admire a blade.

Question is..
Where was he? Why was he doing here?

He was dressed in some comfortable trackers and a t-shirt with a jacket. His shoes were a pair of sport shoes, nice for running.

"Boom" A voice woke Luhan.

"Dear contestants, I might say an enormous welcome to you all. Most of you would be curious, on why you are here. Answer is, you all have been selected to participate in this game. What you have to do is to win. Walk through the maze and explore. You will have a blade as a weapon. No food. No water. That, you have to discover on your own. In the end, there are only two winners allowed. Enjoy the surprises in the maze.Game starts in 10 seconds. Oh, and good luck"

The voice disappeared from nowhere. Instead another female voice counted.
"Ten, nine, eight, seven..."

No..no..what exactly was happening. This must be a dream. Luhan thought.

"Six, five, four..."

Luhan grasped his blade and closed his eyes. His members, they must be in here somewhere. Only two winners? That meant he had to killed them.. No.. he couldn't bring himself to do it. How could they even do that. Might as well die here, Luhan thought. He breathed in slowly as the female voice finally counted to ...one."

Luhan opened his eyes. He had to move forward.Luhan stepped forward one by one, trembling as he went.

"Creek." A suspicious voice sounded. Luhan froze. He glanced around , panicking. Suddenly, he saw something that made his heart stopped.

A dragon. Horrible big dragon. In front of him, emerging from the tunnels. Luhan could feel the heat . Why? That's a bad start. With a mere blade, would he had the chance?

Luhan maintained his stare on the dragon. In the count of three, he runs. He thought.

"One, two..."

And the dragon shooted fire , narrowly missing Luhan by the feet in inches.

Luhan lifted his strong legs and ran as hard as he could. With the flapping of wings getting nearer and nearer, Luhan crossed his fingers that he could die fast and unpainfully.

Fire erupted in every direction. One burned his thighs and he screamed in pain. He held onto his legs, bit his lips and kept on running.

Finally, there was a tunnel in a deserted corner. Luhan dived into it quickly, leaving the dragon furious and confused to where he went.

Safe ..at last. At least for a minute. Luhan scanned the tunnel, and it seemed fine. Luhan slided to the floor and clutched his legs painfully. He lifted his trackers, revealing burned skin that was indeed painful to watch. Luhan whined in pain. His lips were bleeding from the biting .He was so lost. Now what...

When he was still whining and muffling his painful screams, he heard a voice. A familiar voice.

"Luhan? Is that you?"

Luhan sighed in relief as he heard Kai's voice from the edge of the tunnel.

"Yes. Kai. Thank the Gods...Are you fine?"

"Yeah..I haven't met anything but a tornado..but Im fine. " Said Kai, slowly appearing from the dark.

"Are you hurt?" Kai said in concern as he realized that Luhan 's face were all squeezed together.

"Yeah.. Met a dragon. Burned my thighs." Luhan replied.

"I happen to find a medicine just now. Broke a code. Just in time!" Kai said, taking out a small metal container from his jacket.

"You're using it on me? Instead of yourself?..Kai..I understand if it's for the game..." Luhan said.

"No! What are you saying, Luhan! Stop it please. We are one. Now let me put some on your legs." Kai protested and rubbed the ointment on Luhan's wounds.

"Ow..ow..oww.." Luhan whined as pain stung him.

"Done." Kai covered the wound with cloth ripped a bit from trackers.

"Kai.. I don't know what to say.. Thank you...." Luhan teared up.. So much for being strong, Luhan thought.

"Stop. Im glad I met you. Let's fight together. Nobody is going to die . We're going home together." Kai assured.

"Okay." Luhan held onto Kai as they drifted to sleep, hoping the monsters wont appear for a little moment.
