The maze (Exo)

Task 14

A piercing scream was heard as the boys jolted up in a start.

The three of them stood up , alert and Sehun pushed Luhan behind his back.

Kai gripped his blade as sweat drippled down his forehead without bothering to stop.

The scream sounded again and again like it was tortured and it sounded so horrible to hear.

Kai ran forward but Sehun gripped his sleeves, stopping him.

Kai glared at him and whispered angrily.

"What are you doing? We have to help!"

"We... we can't do anything. It was beyond save and he would want us to stay away." Sehun whispered.

Luhan was paled in the face as he asked carefully.

"You knew who?"

"Chen." Sehun swallowed.

The scream sounded again and finally died down. The voice of the once fantastic singer was hoarse from the screaming, damaged maybe.

It was like two tunnels away and everyone would feel the tears coming from their throat. Luhan clasped his hands to his mouth and sobbed.

"Should we....find him?" Kai asked.

"We should." Sehun answered firmly and walked towards the tunnel in front.

Kai and a sobbing Luhan followed behind and finally Sehun stopped. His eyes weren't able to tear away from the horrible scene. More worse, Chen's eyelids were still fluttering. The beast was long gone. Chen's upper body was bloody and his leg seemed to be near to teared off.

Kai covered his eyes and turned away. A tear accidentaly slipped.

Luhan did not care . He was still sobbing and swallowing tears as he approached Chen. He held his hand and Chen looked at him. His eyes were beyond focus and slowly his lips tried to move. But before he could say anything, his eyes went out of focus.

"Oh Chen...What the hell did this to you.. " Luhan whimpered as he closed Chen's eyes , whispering blessings.

"Go well Hyung." Sehun said as he stood quietly behind Luhan.

"Rest in peace hyung. We will always remember your voice." Kai silently swallowed a sob.

The three of them watched as Chen's body disappear like mists.

"Wait. Where's Kyung?" Kai suddenly said.

"......" Nobody dared to speak for a while until Luhan said.

"He...he was gone..Didn't we told you before..." Luhan whispered.

"You must be kidding. You guys did not tell me! " Kai shouted .

"We told you who's left." Sehun spoke.

"No...This can't be true....no.." Kai's knees gave away as he grabbed at his own hair and sank to the ground.

He cried finally. Not caring to hide the sobs he was making.

Luhan walked over and embraced Kai, letting the younger's head rest on his shoulders and soaked his shirt. Sehun too walked over and patted Kai on the back soothingly.

"It's okay...You'll get over it..Be strong hyung, for Kyungsoo." Sehun said. He felt terrible for Kai, because if it was Luhan who was gone, he would have gone madder than this.

"It hurts....so. damn. much...." Kai said and begun hitting his heart with his fist.

Luhan grasped Kai's wrist and stopped him. Kai merely dropped weaker and cried again.

"Oh gosh Kai. Oh gosh.." Luhan whispered as he hugged the trembling Kai harder and a tear fell. He could feel what Kai was feeling.

To lose someone you really cared for wasn't exactly a joke.
