Luhan and Kai was awoken by a loud scream from somewhere.

They jolted up and started to tremble. The scream was so familiar...and it sounded so helpless, so weak, so desperate to live but couldnt. From the scream, the two of them couldn't determine the owner of the voice. For a few seconds later, the scream died out.

"Did he find safety or...." Kai started and couldn't bring himself to mention the word 'die'.

"I don't know..." Luhan said, staring at the floor.

"Who did you reckon...?" Kai asked carefully.

"Im not sure, but Im sure none of us would want to know." Luhan replied.
"Come on..we can't stay here forever.." He then continued, urging Kai.

"Im scared. Of whatever lies upon us."Kai said, looking desperately into Luhan's eyes.

"Who won't be, exactly? Come on. We are together." Luhan encouraged Kai.

They started forward, very careful of any suspicious sounds, movements. Luhan felt better with his leg. All thanks to Kai's medicine. It really helped him. He promised himself that he would try his best to let Kai go home. Even if it involved his own death. Because he could never repaid Kai's dept.

They went on and on. It was starting to get weird. The atmosphere around them. The feeling made Luhan's skin tingled. He stopped.

"Kai..I think we should turn around.." He said.

"......"

"Kai?..Kai!" Luhan turned around, panicked.

"Luhan I can't breath." Kai said weakly, holding on to Luhan.

Now only Luhan realized that feeling. The feeling that made your head dizzy. Lack of oxygen. They're done for.

"Come on. We need to head back!" Luhan shouted, taking Kai on his back and scrambling back.

Kai was already unconsious. Head still spinning , Luhan used all his strength, hurling Kai behind him and running , hopefully away from this area.

He could see spots, black spots. And stars.. Maybe he was dying. His leg wobbled and he fell. With Kai still on his back.

"Exo...We are one..." Luhan murmured slowly as he blacked out.

Hours passed. And Luhan woke up.
Is it heaven? Did he died?
He rubbed his eyes and sat up. No, it's so dark. It couldn't be. He turned to his left and found Kai, lying , pale.

Luhan rushed forward and checked Kai's breathing and pulse. He sighed in relief as he felt a dim breathing on his finger next to Kai's nose.

What had happened? Did the master of this game decided to spare them for a while? Maybe...

Luhan prayed as a thank you and sat , back facing the wall. His stomach grumbled and he realized they hadn't eat anything since the game. No food. What should they do?

Luhan stood up and strolled about nearby where Kai was laying. He dared not go far. There was only corridor everywhere. It was pointless wandering around.

Luhan went back to Kai. Kai begun to wake up.

"Hey, you alright?" Luhan asked, helping Kai to sit up.

"Yeah...Hungry and thirsty though.." Kai croaked.

"Can you walk? We could go further." Luhan encouraged him and lifted him up, supporting Kai from the shoulder.

They walked slowly .. For a long time and finally, voices of water streaming could be heard. They walked faster and in a tunnel, they found a waterfall, streaming gorgeously , splashing clear water to them.

Without any hesitation, the two boys scrambled forward and gulped all the water until they were full. Beside were some fruit trees. It doesn't look suspisious nor smell like one so Luhan suggested they eat first.

It was nice to be full. They were resting as they heard someone's footstep coming towards them. Luhan automatically stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Kai as they wait.

A tired-looking , tall figure emerged from the darkness. A glimpse of his blonde hair was enough for Luhan and Kai to recognize the lad.

"Tao!" They shouted in unison .
But they watched in horror as the lad fell and hit the floor hard, unconsious.
