(Her armor in human form)
"I'm one lucky wolf to have a she–wolf as his mate." He said.
"But you do know now that I'm your mate. The only she–wolf alive, everyone else will come after me. Wanting me as theirs for powerful pups." I warned him.
"Let them come. I'll show them all that you are mine and I will protect you until my last breath." He threatened.
I chuckled shaking my head. He took his hand off my cheek and held out his hand waiting for me to take it. And I did and tried to not show how much I'm loving the feeling. But I hardly felt it with my cloves on, preventing me from feeling the sparks.
"You sound like child when you say that."
"But it is the truth." He defended.
Smiled and looked around then back at him.
"Just try not to blabber out to the others that I'm a female. So that I don't lose my reputation because of it." I pointed
He was about to say something when I heard footsteps. And it had the sound of metal touching the ground and rubbing against each other, I quickly sniffed the air and I recognized the sent all to well to ignore or stay calm and I looked around.
"You smell it too?" Eric asked.
I looked at him letting go of his hand and put the helmet back onto my head. I could see in his eyes he already misses my touch and was wanting more. I was wanting the same and I quickly put my right hand on his left cheek and ran my thumb along it.
The footsteps were getting closer and I pulled my hand back and turned to where the sound was coming from. My world stopped and my body boiled with anger, there standing in front of me is Darren. His in his armor with his sword hanging on his right hip and he has a cape? Seriously.
"Great." I whispered and stood in front of Eric protectively.
"Ah. Alexis I finally found you. You really need to stop running around like a little girl and come home with me. My father wasn't quite happy you left me alone when we just built our army." He smirked.
"I'm sure that's not the only Darren. Why else come here alone?" I said.
He laughed and started walking closer. So close to my unlinking and I drew out my sword.
"I see you got a new sword and armor. It suits you but are your skills any better?" He drew out he sword.
"I was trained by your own father remember? And I've been training more and others so that we can end your stupid life." I hissed.
I didn't know we were circling each other until I saw Eric behind Darren with a worried face.
"Now why so harsh? Last I remembered all you'd wanted to be was the best of the best in the world."
"And I am!" I yelled.
"All because of me! I made you who you are! So you are mine from the beginning!" He yelled back.
"No she's not!" Eric yelled out of the blue.
Darren turned and looked at him for a few seconds and started laughing.
"And what's this? A pup who wants to show a she–wolf that he if worthy?"
"I happen t-"
I cut him off not wanting Darren to know about Eric.
"Leave him out of it Darren. This is between you and me." I snapped loudly raising my sword.
"So be it. But have you told anyone about your secret?"
I straightened up with wide eyes lowering my swords. Guilt and regret was fulling me so fast I felt like my heart was dropping.
"So you haven't this should be fun..." He said and jumped over the river, "good luck with that." Then he walked off into the forest.
"What was he talking about?" Eric asked.
"It's nothing and none of your concern." I said and turned to leave putting my sword back in its holder.
"Alexis-."
"Its commander Alex!" I snapped turning to look at him.
I saw hurt in his eyes,"Just, please Eric I need to be alone for this." And that just made more guilt build up inside of me. I turned and walked off feeling tear threatening to fall.
'Wild?'
'Its within the next three days.' She said whimpering with her head down low.
I looked up at the sky and see that the sun was starting to set.
'Make that two days when it hits midnight.'
'Would still be the same anyway.' I said and shifted running back to the castle.
I didn't realize I wasn't heading for the castle but to a cliff, I stopped at the edge. I also didn't realize that it got so late and that it was dark and the moon was high. I looked down the cliff and see the castle and a few meters away was the campsite with many warriors walking around, talking, laughing, and running around.
'Can I really lead them into a battle that they probably won't even survive in?' I asked myself.
And cool breeze blow pass me making my white fur dance, and a soft hum blow with it. It felt wonderful and I suddenly had the confidence to do it, to lead them and face Darren. And that built up the last part that I felt it turn into pride and bravery.
I pulled my head back up and howled to the moon goddess then I heard more howls full the air and together it felt like we were ready.
I am ready...
