A girl was lying on her couch, facing a window. She watched as droplets of rain ran down the window and listened to the rhythmic pitter-patter of the rain hitting the roof.
The (h/c) haired girl rolled onto her back, staring at the ceiling. She'd only recently moved out of her parents house and into a small, one story apartment.
The girl had been assigned to work in a small-town doctors practice as there was only one other, older, doctor working there. Many of the other doctors and nurses preferred to work in big hospitals in cities, mostly because their family and friends lived in those areas. The girl, on the other hand, preferred the quiet, non-bustling town and was happy to work there.
The town itself was quiet, calm. It was surrounded by dense forest, all the way around. One major road ran through the centre of the town and led out in the North and South directions.
The girl only ever wanted a quiet life in a small town, and that was exactly what she had gotten. She was content with the small population and quiet area. Her life was just beginning, it was going every way she wanted it to.
She had her dream job and lived comfortably in her own space. She may not have friends at the moment because her mind had been set on this job all her life, but she was confident she would be able to make some easily. She would call her parents as much as she could, as they were currently travelling.
Right now, her life was going...well, perfectly.
