Meeting Him

Grace's POV

I honestly had a terrible sleep because I forgot my sleeping pad. "I might as well, get the food and make breakfast, then I'll go on my canoe." I walked over to the bear box and grabbed the bag of food. All of it was gone, even the granola bars. "Are you kidding me?" I yelled.  A very attractive boy about my age walked over to me. "Uh.. hi," I stuttered. He smiled, and said, "Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine. All my food got stolen though." I said. "Oh, I'm sorry! I can give you some of my food if you want, my name is Elijah by the way," he said, still smiling. "I'm fine. Thanks for the offer though. I'm Grace," I said, smiling back.

"Oh okay, I know this is all so sudden, but, can I have your number?" he nervously asked. "Yeah sure. Do you have any paper?" I asked. "No. Can you just put it in my phone?" he asked. He handed me his phone.

Elijah's POV

I handed her my phone and I couldn't help but to blush of how pretty she was. She put in her number and named the contact, "Grace :3." She handed me my phone back and I couldnt help myself from smiling.

I heard her phone ring and heard a familiar voice on it. I waved by and went back to my own campsite. She waved back, smiling. I texted Denis to tell him what was going to happen.

Me: Denis, I'm coming back today. Are Alex and Braden there yet?

Denis: Yeah. Braden is editing a video, and Alex is eating some cereal. Why are you coming back so early?

Me: I dont know, I just met a girl and her food was stolen so Im gonna drive her home. Hopefully.

Denis: Okay. Sub is still on vacation in Florida so he's not coming. See you soon.

I ran back to her campsite and she smiled. "Do you want me to take you home considering your food is gone?" I offered. "Sure. Thanks." she said. I helped her take down her tent, then she got another call. She answered.

Grace: Really? I dont even know your friends very well. But I guess so. Someone is taking me home because my food was stolen. Love you, bye!

Then she ended the call smiling. After the tent was all packed up, we put her canoe on top of my car. "What are we gonna do with your car?" I asked. "Ill just pick it up later. My brother will probably drive me there," she said. "May I ask who your brother is?" I curiously said. "His name is Braden. His job is to make Youtube videos with his friends," she said. At that moment, I heart started pounding. She was the girl that we talked about joining The Pals. Everything made sense now, even how a new love could be sprouting. (HEHE :3. Get it??????????)

Braden's POV

I saw Denis walk into the room as I blushed. I've been in love with him for a long time, but I dont think he likes me back. "Braden... we need to talk," he said. "Okay. Fine with me," I said in a nervous voice. "I.... uh.... I like you. I didnt know how to tell you, but now I do," Denis said. I just walked over to him and hugged him. He hugged me back tightly.

Denis's POV

His hug was tight and I was blushing a ton. We stood there hugging for about a minute. Then Alex yelled from downstairs, "Elijah is here! Help him with his stuff." We stopped the hug imediately because of shock.

We both looked like tomatos because our faces were so red. Braden walked downstairs and got Elijah's bags. Grace walked behind him and waved to me. I smiled and walked downstairs. "Hi! Its nice to meet you! So you're joining The Pals." I said. "Yeah, since Braden practically begged me," she uttered. Braden walked over to Grace and hugged her. She hugged him back but I could tell it was awkward for her.

She looked at Elijah and said, "You're part of The Pals too?" "Yup, I joined about 2 months ago. So I'm still pretty new." She looked like she was just shot. She just stood there and said, "Oh cool!"

"Since you're part of The Pals now, I thought we could walk to the park and chill there," I said.  "Yeah, that'd be fun! How about we go now?" Grace said. "I don't see anything wrong with that!" I exclaimed.

We started walking to the park, but we had to cross a busy street. We walked a few feet into the road, then a drunk driver turned and Grace pushed us all on to the grass as she was the one to get run over.
