I'm still shaky

Crying has taken what little energy I had left

My sister is sitting on the arm chair

In the living room

"Hey, do you want to watch TV with us?"

My sister looks at me all smiles

And for the first time in weeks

I don't fake a smile

I nod, 

"Can I have a hug first?"

She smiles

"Of course you can."

I sit on the chair next to her

Using her hands she rubs my back in small circles

Moving the hair that's stuck to my damp

Tear soaked face

I expect a snide remark

An insult 

From the voice

                                                    Hello?

                                                    Anyone home?

My breath comes in through my nose

Out through my mouth

For the first time

She has nothing to say

                                                   I won
