CHAPTER SIX

Maya’s pov

After we came back I sent Kain back to bed and found the guards. I sent Ruga to a volcano, Nigár to a cave and Blanca to feed the animals.

The next day I showed them around the city and introduced Kain to the women candidates to be his bride. He said he doesn’t really like any of them.

It has been almost a month and Kain and his guards are still here. He told me he wishes ME to be his bride. I didn’t know what to say so I went to talk with my brother

"Kain, what should I do? He wishes me to be his bride! I can’t go."

"And why not dear sister? If you worry for the villagers you know Sasha will take care of them. Don’t you like him? I saw you smiling more around him. You rarely smile. You deserve happiness and you can be happy with him"

“I don’t know brother. It doesn’t seem fair for me to leave but yes, he does kind of make me happy. And it would be so nice to see our old home and the dragons we used to ride. I hope Coral my dragon friend is still there."

"Sister, if he makes you happy go with him. Don’t tell him who you are if not necessary. I will come and visit you often. If you need me you know you can always reach me in our dreams"

so I agreed to Kais idea for me to be his bride. We decided we will leave the next day for my old home that is now Kains castle, the Blood Rose Castle.

 Kain was very happy when he heard my answer and the guards were shocked but recovered from it quickly.

The journey to the Center country lasted almost 5 days and when we came there the castle was the same as so many thousands of years ago. When we landed in the front I heard a loud roar and a few second later I saw a purplish-black dragon flying to me. It was my friend from many years ago still alive named Carol. It seams she lost a lot of weight and became quite aggressive when I wasn’t there. Everybody was shocked when they saw the beautiful dragon crouching in front of me and whining for me to pet her. I laughed at that and did pet her. What was even funnier was when Coral started purring making their jaws fall. I heard her voice in my head "my lady, my master, my friend, you are back. Don’t leave again, I missed you so. My beautiful mistress." I just told her I was chosen as the lord’s bride and am not going anywhere. She was happy

 Kain came to me and introduced me to everybody at the castle, not knowing I already know them all. But I did notice that Blanca’s sister Lux (light) and Nigar's brother Shade (night) are nowhere to be seen. When I secretly asked Coral about it she said they were so loyal to me and my family that they disappeared 5 days after our disappearance.
