Today was the big day, I finally get to earn my necklace. I've dreamed of this moment since I remember, this necklace gives you all the power you can imagine, Now that I'm 16 and have completed all of the trials I'm finally able to wear it with proud. When we earn the necklace we have lessons to teach us how to use it, we can only use it when we really need to or we will get it taken off us and punished. We have to wear it all the time no matter what. Since I'm 16 and still in high school it will be hard to hide it because I'm the only fairy here, each day my father puts me under a spell to take my wings away, I go to a normal high school because I use to be normal, I never use to have wings but I turned 14 and that was my gift from my parents. I still go here because my parents would get in trouble buy the government if the take me out, it makes it hard but we have gotten used to it and that it's now part of the daily routine.
It's Saturday my 16th birthday. We fly over to the Fairy kingdom through a portal my dad makes appear in our garden shed. It's a colour building, Blue clean glittery water falls running down the side towers into a small heart shaped pond. Guards flying around protecting this place from the bad. Dad talks to one of them and he lets us in.
"Welcome Charisma," The King welcomes me into the grand hall.
I bow down to him and say "your Highness."
"So, you're 16 now, do you think you are strong enough to handle the necklace? It is a big task and one wrong move you may be punished," his highness convinces me more.
"Yes your highness, I have completed all of the trials. I believe I am strong enough to have my own, I have dreamt of this moment for as long as I can remember." I smile, confidently.
"I have been watching you and I do believe you should have your own and that you are strong enough." He sends a wave over to one of his right hand people who immediately flies over, carrying a pearl statin box outlined with rose gold metal.
I can feel all the excitement building up inside of me. I feel like jumping up and hugging everyone but I know it would be bad manners so instead I stand there with a big cheesy smile on my face, I've never been this happy before. Well not since I got my wings. Being a fairy is the best thing in the world, you get so much you could ever dream of. Such a lovely community.
This is the tale of how I finally got my necklace. Validation that I was the fairy that I always hoped that I'd become.
