I was googling jyushimatsu devimega au and the cover, the actual cover, for this came up and I squeaked.
THE SCENERY CHOROMATSU got from being at the lake in a forest was simply beautiful, at least to him it was. The white flowers nearby were simply lovely. He could hear a song the birds were singing. The goddess let out a sigh. What a pretty day. That is, until he heard very loud yelling. He let out another sigh, but this time in annoyance. Choromatsu silently prayed for the peace and quiet to not be horribly interrupted.
"Hustle hustle! Muscle muscle! Or was it muscle muscle muscle! Hustle hustle? Either way is fine!"
Out of the trees walked an angel, loose attire and a bat in hand. He didn't have the usual sandals as normal, but he walked around barefoot, toenails painted yellow. It matched his halo and bright eyes as well that gave off that "happiness and purity" vibe. "Let's play baseball!" Jyushimatsu suggested. "Huh? Uh. . ." Choromatsu didn't really want to. But he couldn't bring himself to refuse the so innocent, so sweet angel.
"Well, how about we admire the flowers instead? After all, it's a pretty day. The sky is even clear," Choromatsu subtly opposed nervously. Jyushimatsu was a little sensitive. The way he worked was certainly strange. If Choromatsu was a little harsh, he might just break down in tears. But if the he told him to fuck off, he'd probably persist as if not knowing what that meant. But if he made Jyushimatsu devastated in any way, Ichimatsu would not stop until he had the goddess's head, he was sure.
Jyushimatsu nodded. "I know. That's why I ask." He handed Choromatsu a potato sack that contained baseballs. Choromatsu looked at the scene, then the bag, then at Jyushimatsu's smile. He couldn't bring himself to say no, even without Ichimatsu threatening him. That would certainly be the day.
He let out a bit of a grumble. "Just for an hour," he answered. "Yay!" Jyushimatsu cheered, covering his mouth with his oversized sleeve. Choromatsu had a smile on his face viewing the angel beam with joy, unaware.

"You understand?"
Choromatsu stared in disbelief. "I. . . Sort of. You and Jyushimatsu were brothers?" Ichimatsu nodded. "And you died up in flames?" He nodded again. "You know, but he doesn't?" Again, he nodded. "How do you know that?" Ichimatsu sighed, sitting back on the grass. Choromatsu was sitting up. Jyushimatsu was playing in the lake, trying to catch fish but would release them once he caught them. He got deeper in, making Ichimatsu nervous.
"Hey, Jyushimatsu, don't go on drowning!" he called. " 'Kay!" Jyushimatsu replied. He flapped the wings that appeared on his back at that moment. "Don't worry, Ichimatsu!" Although the grim reaper didn't say it, he missed when he called him "Nii-san," back in another life. "If I tried to mention anything about the past, he never mentioned being a human, just heaven stuff and so. After all, he is more powerful than your average angel."
The goddess laughed a bit, trying to cover it up. Too late. Ichimatsu elbowed him quickly with no hesitancy. He looked up towards the sky. "I don't expect him to be any stronger than me, him being gentle. I'm not really, well now that I think about it, I don't know much about him at all. Just that he's really, really weird and used to be my brother."
"Who could get past his obsession with baseball?" added Choromatsu.
"True."
They watched Jyushimatsu playing carefree in the water, as if not having a clue about the harsh reality.

Osomatsu launched, attempting to stab the angel. Jyushimatsu immediately dodged, almost falling back but managing to miss it. He skidded to the floor and opened up his hand. A bat appeared, almost glowing. The next swing the devil threw at him, he deflected with his own weapon. Osomatsu pressed, grinning. "I will win at the end of the day," he smirked. Jyushimatsu's bat gave off a slight light, and had turned into a pistol, still trying to fight off the pitchfork.
The moment it did, Jyushimatsu wasted no time in shooting. Osomatsu tilted his neck to the left a bit, barely missing it. Jyushimatsu used this distraction to get away and build up some distance. He hopped back.
"Heyyy, you never told me you could do that!" Osomatsu awed. He laughed and swung his pitchfork. He wasn't close enough though, but it wasn't an ordinary attack. He didn't mean that. Instead, it let out something as if the swing of an ax towards anything in it's way. It knocked down a few trees, including the one behind Jyushimatsu, who jumped up, avoiding it. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve too!" His wings appeared, but Osomatsu wasted not time running over to him and attempting to hurt him.
Jyushimatsu blocked with his arms, trying to throw aside his own body. But the devil had stabbed one of his wings, the right one to be specific. He let out a cry, and he made his wings disappear to get away, but the pain was still there.
It hurts. . .
Pants were let out, and Jyushimatsu was kicked to the ground. He landed on the grass beside a rock. The angel grabbed it, throwing it at the devil. Osomatsu growled in pain as it his his chest, but it was thrown aggressively, and harder. Osomatsu's forehead bled a little. The yellow eyed male summoned the pistol once more, shooting him. Osomatsu's arm would have been shot, had he not covered it with his hand. Jyushimatsu immediately made a run.
He attempted to use his injured wings, but it was no good. He couldn't fly with just one, and it hurt trying to. A yellow liquid almost like blood oozed out of the wound. His gold eyes flickered to Osomatsu.
It hurts, nii-san. . .
"Now I'm annoyed," he hissed. Osomatsu let out a grin. "Finally speaking up?" he said, raising his pitchfork. Jyushimatsu was quicker than him and was able to swing his bat before him, hitting his head and knocking him down. Osomatsu had a hand on his head. Jyushimatsu started to swing again. And again. The devil's blood started to splatter on him.
His wide yellow eyes only stared as he brutally whacked him with his bat. But he finally stopped, dropping his bat caked in blood and dropped to his knees. Jyushimatsu blinked, staring at the incredibly injured Osomatsu-san. The devil struggled a bit to get up, but grabbed Jyushimatsu by his collar, who didn't even resist.
"You've had your fun, now I'm gonna have mine."
Jyushimatsu's body fell over, as did Osomatsu's. What seemed as if black dust came off the unconscious angel, until red eyes snapped open. He looked around and at once knew that he was no longer in such a sinful body. Osomatsu laughed, posing as the angel Jyushimatsu. He complained internally when he felt a pain on his back from the wing that wasn't there at the moment. He let out an "ugh," but knew it must've been his fault. Well, it was, ha ha.
But with everything that would happen, he would definitely forget about any pain at the moment.
