Chapter 20

I skim through the old magazine Maggie had in her house. I didn't want to stay home alone. Daryl left to find some saviour. I tried to tell to forget about it but he felt guilty over Denise's death. Poor Tara when she comes back and finds her girlfriend dead. Glenn,Rosita and Michonne went with him. Michonne told me not to worry Daryl is safe with them. I trust her and hopefully Daryl doesn't do anything stupid.

"What are you thinking about?" Maggie voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Daryl and the baby. I can't sleep anymore" I said sighing tiredly.

"Moving too much?" Maggie was getting a haircut from Enid.

"Yeah it's annoying. You'll find out soon" I said with a smirk.

"Why the haircut?" Jamie asked Maggie.

"I guess it's time for a change" Maggie shrugged. I haven't told anybody about what Anthony said. About Negan looking for a new town to be in charge. I want to tell Daryl but I don't know why I can't tell him.

But if I have the chance to prevent Negan than I should tell Maggie.

"Wow short hair works for you" Jamie says with a small smile.

"You look beautiful Maggie." I said taking a deep breath. I'm gonna tell her.

"Maggie I have to-" out of nowhere Maggie starts screaming.

"Maggie what's wrong?" I watch her fall to the ground holding her stomach in pain.

"Jamie call Rick now!" I yell grabbing Maggie's hand. She had tears running her face and she was getting paler. Rick and Aaron came running in and helped her up. I follow them to the RV.

"We got to take her to doctor Carson." Rick says as they get in the RV.

"Elena you shouldn't come." Aaron says. I want to go but I promised Daryl not to go anywhere.

"Please let her." Maggie managed to say. Rick gave me a conflicted look but Jamie said she would take care of me.

Eugene,Sasha,Carl and Abraham got in and Rick drove out of Alexandria.

The group were nervous. They kept quiet. Jamie played with a small rock throwing it in the air. Carl was looking outside. I get up from the couch and walk to Maggie who was in the bedroom.

She looked worse than before. Dark bags under her eyes and very pale. I carefully kneel in front of her. I grab her hand as she opens her eyes.

"You'll be fine Maggie." I whisper half smiling.

"The baby will be fine. Our babies will be the best of friends." She tries to smile.

"They will protect each other. Nothing will happen to you Maggie." I felt the tears falling down.

"I never had a friend growing up and well I love you Maggie" now she was crying.

"I love you too Elena" I hug her gently.

"Elena" I hear rick calling me.

"Try to sleep." I get up and walked to the group who were gathered in the front.

"What's up?" Rick points to a group of people up front.

"Who are they?" I ask as I look closer. They weren't walkers. There are 8 men in total.

"The Saviors" Abraham mumbled.

"I'll go see what they want." Rick says getting out of the RV. I turn to Eugene and grab his map from his hands.

"If we go through here we can make it to the other road" I said pointing to the road Jesus told me about.

"You sure we can make it with the RV?" Sasha says.
