Chapter 25

Deborah pov
The sunlight hit my eye.
I sat up even though I have a huge headache.
I am in a unfamiliar room.
Memories from last night play through my head.
Omg David, where is he?
"I see you're awake" I heard Shawn said.
He is laying on the couch looking all uncomfortable.
"Shawn, who was that?" I ask.
"Who was what?" Shawn ask.
He looks like he knows something but he doesn't want to say a word.
"Edward, he is alive?" I ask.
It's unbelievable, I saw Edward's dead body with my own eye.
"Edward is dead" Shawn said coldly as he got out of the couch.
"Then who was that guy?" I ask.
"Edward didn't tell you? He has a twin brother" Shawn said.
My eyes widen, twin brother? Where was he all this time?
"What about David? Where is he?" I ask.
Shawn stops in front of the door and turn around to look at me.
"I don't know, I just brought you here" Shawn said.
"Where is this place?" I ask.
It looks like we are in some sort of wood cabin.
"This is my cabin, it's in the middle of the wood" Shawn said.
I got out of bed and grab my backpack that is lying on the floor.
I have no time to waste, I need to find out what is happening.
"Where are you going?" Shawn ask as soon as I push him away to walk out of the bedroom.
"Home, I have to find David" I said.
"It's too dangerous" Shawn said and grab ahold of my wrist.
"You have to let me go now" I said and pull my wrist away from him.
"I'm going with you" he said.
I nodded and wait for him to gather his things.
"Let's go" he said after he packs whatever he can fit in his backpack.
"If Edward has a twin brother, why can't the twin brother take his mafia position?" I ask. Confuse on why the brother just show up.
"Because Juwany was born 1 minutes after Edward. Juwany has always wanted to take the spot but their father wanted Edward since he's older." Shawn explains.
I don't know where he is leading me, but I'm counting on him.
"Why did he attack me?" I ask.
"Juwany wants revenge for his brother. His goal was to attack David until he found out that his brother cares about you." Shawn said.
I stop after I heard some noises.
"What's wrong?" Shawn ask.
"Do you hear that?" I ask.
Shawn looks around and got out a pocket knife. Wow really? That will protect us?
"It's probably just some animal" Shawn said.
I force myself to believe that and continue to follow him.
After like an hour of walking, we reach the mansion.
It stood there quietly, no owners. I don't hear any guards or the gardener. They must've known by now that David and I are missing. I mean, guards probably know from yesterday.
"We need to see if David is in the mansion" I said.
Shawn stop me and throw something in the yard.
"Traps" he mumbles.
Wow they sent up traps just in case I come back so they can catch me.
"What do we do then?" I ask.
"Idk it's your house, isn't there any other way to get in?" He ask.
"The closet" I mumble.
I told Shawn to follow me to the back of the mansion.
It took us a while to go all the way in the back since it's a huge mansion.
"What is this?" He ask looking at the secret door that leads to my closet.
"A way in" I said and open the door.
I walk in first then Shawn follows me.
When I reach the room, I gasp. Everything was a mess. Our tables and some furniture in the room are all knocked down.
"Juwany must be out of his mind" Shawn muttered.
"I have to find David" I said and walk out of
The room.
There were guards lying on the floor cover in blood making me want to vomit. It's obvious that they're dead, but I shouldn't call the police because they will find out about David's work.
"So what do we do?" Shawn ask as he looks around the living room which is a mess.
"Nick" I muttered. "We have to call Nick"
I grab my phone and contact Nick.
"Deborah!" Nick shout.
"Nick, someone took David" I said.
"I know, the guards contacted me. We're trying to find out who it is. Are you alright?" He ask.
"Yes I am, I am with Shawn. He helped me" I said.
There was a pause for a few second before Nick speaks up again.
"Where are you right now?" He ask.
"I'm in the mansion. I don't know where to go" I said.
"Just stay there, I'll go and get you" he said.

I hung up and look around the mansion. Not every room has been trash.
"As soon as Nick comes, we will tell him everything" I said.
"You trust that Nick guy? He killed Edward" Shawn said coldly as he plays with his pocket knife.
"Look Shawn I'm sorry, but he is the only person that can help us save David" I explain.
"Us? I'm not doing this to save your husband Deborah, I'm doing this for Edward" he said and throws his pocket knife at the wall.
I gulp, he is good at aiming.
"Edward was my friend, but he wouldn't want me in danger, and right now, I am" I said.
"If you were really his friend, you wouldn't be staying with a guy that order him to be dead, and now you're going to be friend with Nick?! He kill Edward right in front of you!" Shawn yelled.
I look at him and my eyes started to get watery.
"What do you want me to do Shawn? I have no choice. David is my husband and I love him. I can't help how I feel." I cried.
Shawn shook his head and turn away from me. He just looks out the window. I walk over to him and grab his hand but he push me away.
"That's why, I'm not letting my feelings come first because it will be the worst mistake I have ever made" he muttered.
I stare at his mad and sad face for a few minutes before I hear a car pull up and people getting out of the car. Nick is here.
"Shawn we got to go" I said and wipe my tears with my hand.
"I'm not going with Nick, I'm going to go to Juwany alone" Shawn said and started gathering his things.
"What? Shawn it's dangerous" I said.
"No your dangerous" he mumbles, and put his cap on.
"May we meet again" he mumbles before leaving.
I watch as he escape through the window. It's ok, he will be ok. Shawn is strong. I have to get to David.
"May we meet again" I whisper and walk out of the mansion.
