After passing out so many times I played my netball and Sophia and I absolutely loved it!  This is the first time I feel I can play netball and not be ashamed about it. I was playing in GD(Goal Defence) today and Sophia was playing GA(Goal Attack) which meant I got to play up against her. I'm not that fast yet because I don't usually do sports but I think I actually did alright. Our team scored 8 points although Sophia's team did astoundingly well and scored 15, so we got pumped. I still had fun though. I was so happy and shocked at the end of it that a tear fell from my eye, people started staring at me but I just said that it was sweat-I know what you wondering sweat doesn't come from your eye, well I had to think fast. I made some new friends today and they are really nice, Rachel, Amy and Erin. They my were all so welcoming to me and made sure that I was happy, which I am!
It was the end of the session and I see my grandma Mary waiting outside for us. I want to sprint over to grandma and thank her although my legs are killing me! I slowly walk over with Sophia and we get in grandma's car. This time it was a quieter journey back and I nearly fell asleep, but I didn't. We hardly spoke on the journey home as we were so tired. Before Sophia went home I asked Grandma
"When do we go back?"
"Back where, honey?"
"You know, to the netball?"
"Oh Monday"
"Oh that's 3 days away," I said in disappointment.
"Don't be so disappointed, your bones need to rest for the weekend!"
"Ok grandma."
I say goodbye to Sophia as we come up to her house and she says bye back. She trembles getting it the door and starts walking to her door. I'm so happy about the surprise that my gran gave me so I kept thanking her to the point where I said it in different languages:
"Thank you, gracias, merci, danke, ta, arigato."
My gran wondered how I knew so many languages. I told her my mum taught me.
We got home and I had a snack and just went to bed because I was so fatigued.
                          ~the next day~
Last night I heard someone come in my room but was too frightened to open my eyes, so I just kept them shut and hoped that it wasn't a killer, thankfully it wasn't. I woke up feeling good about myself and walked downstairs. As I was walking downstairs I felt a pain in my legs, what had I done? I remembered that I was playing netball yesterday, it is a workout you know! I finally got downstairs and I walked into the living room where I seem to have found a present tied up with a pretty bow.
Is it for me?
I ask gran and she said
"It's your birthday present, since you didn't actually get a birthday I thought to get you a present."
I was even more happy than I was yesterday although I didn't pass out!
*awkwardly laugh to myself*
I am so excited to open the present but at the same time very nervous and scared, what if my gran is pranking me, she is a gangster after all. I start to untie the bow slowly so I didn't wreck the so delicately wrapped present . It looked too pretty to open but I did it anyway. About 5 minutes later I finally opened it. U wasn't too sure about what it was until... my face started to glow like a light bulb and in a few seconds I shouted,
"A PHONE A PHONE, WOOOOO!!"
"Calm down, have you never had a phone before?"my gran says.
"No actually, my mother didn't have the money, thank you so much!"
"It's the best one on the market, iPhone 7+, and I added Sophia to your contacts so yous can FaceTime, text whatever you do these days!"
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!"
"Your welcome now go have fun!"
I run up to my room with my new fancy phone and start using it. I can't believe my mother never taken me to see my grandma before, I miss her too much...
