So I've always wondered... Why are your hands and neck black?
Josh jerked his car to a stop. It was parked suprisingly neat in a parking spot. He turned his car off and quickly got out, slamming the door.
He ran through the fairly small parking lot and into a very secure but dangerous mental jail. Once he stepped in, the scenery became dark. Josh looked around, jail cells with three people at most im each cell.
The lights were dimly lit on the hallway ceiling. At the very end of the hall, there was one bright light with a door marked 'OFFICE.' Josh walked down the hall, lights flickering softly with each step he took.
Josh's yellow hair attracted all of the inmates' attention. He began to jog, not wanting to see the inmates reactions.
"Hey faggot! You look like a gay highlighter!"
Josh glanced back at the cell he just went by to see a man with a crooked smile, holding the cell bars, staring at him. Josh sighed and turned back forward, still jogging.
'I should change my hair color soon.'
Josh jogged past cell number One hundred fourty-eight. He looked at the very dark cell, stopping in his tracks and walking back to the cell. He heard silent sobbing from the corner of the room, along with quiet muttering. There was only a few words here and there that Josh could make out.
"S-stop...no, I-I shou-dn't"
Josh was about to speak, but he remembered he must continue or he will be even more late. Josh backed away and continued to jog once again to the office.
Once he was at the door, he opened it to see a surprisingly neat room. "Ah, Mr. Dun. Your a little late, but thats okay..." Josh smiled very relieved.
"Do you need to know anything more about me?" Josh asked as the man behind a desk nodded his head. "I just need to know your age and if you do any drugs?" Josh shook his head at the last part.
"I am twenty-eight years old." Josh replied, smiling as his eyes squinted along with his infectious smile. He glanced down at the desk quickly, seeing a name tag.
"Mr. Way." He added.
"Please. Call me Gerard, Josh." Gerard replied.
Josh nodded in understanding. "Your hired. Simple as that." Gerard said, smiling as Josh acted suprised, but smiling his perfect grin even wider. "I never expected to get a job that easily." Josh replied.
"I mean there is people in a higher rank than me here. The leader told me we needed new workers and said to hire anyone so, we have you now. Your job begins tomorrow. I'll be waiting to help you. Be here by nine a.m." Gerard informed.
"Okay!" Josh cheered, beginning to leave. "Goody-bye Gerard!"
"Bye Josh."
. . .
Josh unlocked the door to his house and walked inside. "Wow i got the job, lovely!" Josh exclaimed to himself as he walked into his kitchen to get a Red Bull.
Once he got it, he walked upstairs to his bedroom. He took a sip of his Red Bull as he closed the door to his room behind him.
He fell sofly onto his bed, processing what the mental jail looked like. The dim lights, the inmates, and specifically..
The one inmate that was alone, crying, and talking to himself in a dark cell.
