Riker's POV
We all arrived at the camp site. A couple of other family's had cabins, caravans and tents. We were on of the many tent family's. "Okay." Mark said as he started to empty the car. "Rydel and Amy." He said and threw their tent at them. "Riker and Rocky." He said and we hi fived causing us to drop our tent. "Ry, Dylan and Ross." He said and gave them their tent. "Set up where ever, but we're going to have a camp fire here." He announced and marked the spot. "Awesome." Rocky said as we started to build our tent. We were putting our waterproof sheet on when I noticed the girls needed help. Rydel told me that Amy still liked me, so maybe after this trip, we could finally be together again. "You girls want some help?" I asked and saw Amy trying to put the poles in. They were still up to the first step. "Here." I said and helped Amy put the tent together as Rydel didn't want her nails to brake.
After finally getting their tent up, Dad decided to take Ross finishing, so that meant! Rocky, Ryland, Dylan and Myself had to go collect fire wood. "We're going." Ryland said and started to leave. "Oh, c-can I come?" Amy said and Dylan groaned. "You can't even lift up any twigs." He said. "Who said I was going to help?" Amy said and smiled at me. "Sure. You can come." I said and she got up and got her camera and followed us.
"Look at the footprints." Ryland said and pointed to them as we stopped and looked for any animals or sticks. Amy bent downs and took a photo of the footprints. "I bet you they're heffalump footprints." Rocky said trying to scare us. I didn't listen to them. "Cool." I said as I looked at the camera screen. "Thanks." Amy said and we kept walking.
We got back to the camp site and we started to build the fire. I got out my guitar and started playing some chords to lighten up the mood.
Dad and Ross came back with five pieces of fish. I'm impressed. When ever we go camping, we do it right. We were enjoying our fish cooked by the fire and Rydel started making s'mores. At a time like this, we thought about Ratliff.
Ross started playing my guitar and a couple of family's joined us. He started singing just random stuff, until when we started to clean up we started to sing 'Wishing I was 23.' I rolled my eyes and hummed the lyrics. "...She's smoking hot, if you know what I mean. Tight jeans and she loves her photography. And everything that's in between. She's been around the world..." He sang and then I realised Amy got up and walked off. I dropped the fish and followed her. I found her sitting under a log so I sat next to her. "Hey. What's wrong?" I said and put my arm around her and she wiped her eyes. "Oh hey. It's okay." I said and hugged her. "W-why does Ross like me?" She whispered and my stomach dropped. I knew it! "Maybe because you're beautiful." I said and cuddled her tightly. I saw her cheeks flush. "Don't cry. Please stop." I said and lifted her chin up. "You know. You should be thankful that you're getting this attention from him. A lot of guys like you, and think you're smart and perfect. You have no imperfections. Everything about you is loveable." I said and wiped her tears away. "But..." She trailed off. "But what?" I asked her. "I-I still love you." She whispered and I smiled. "You wanna know something?" I whispered to her and she nodded her head hoping her good news, and I gave that to her. "I've never stopped loving you." I said and pressed my lips lightly on hers and we started to kiss under the stars.
