Chapter 7: Goodnight

Katherine P.O.V: At around 9 Anya said it was time to get ready for bed and I didn't know what to do. I followed Anya and she tossed me a baggy t-shirt that was like a dress on me and an old pair of sweatpants that had huge holes in the knees. She went over to a huge drawer filled with girls underwear and socks, which Anya pulled a pair of underwear and socks from. Then after I changed Anya led me to 1 of the 2 bathrooms, each had 4 stalls, 5 showers, and 4 sinks. She pulled out a large drawer of toothbrushes, each one labeled, and 1 of 3 tubes of cheap toothpaste. As we brushed our teeth I could see her looking at me. After I finished she pulled me aside and said "I didn't tell you the entire truth, you aren't my cousin", I was very confused and before I could say anything else she looked at me and said, "You are my little sister". She then told me about how mom and dad had been hit by a truck but the car didn't go over the edge. Instead, she had been flung out the door by the force and landed in the river, she was washed on the shore, and then Andria had found her and brought her here before mom and dad found her. I asked her where I was and she told me "You were at home with a baby sitter, mom and dad had taken me to a volleyball game". I then asked her "When did you really get here?" her respose was, "When I was 8 years old." After we had talked I realized it was 11:30. We went back to the dorm and she climbed on a bottom bunk, she gave me the top bunk and we fell asleep.
