✨Chapter 3✨

"When will I see the stars again?"

The small girl glanced outside the window from her hospital bed and sighed.

There was a way for her to see the stars again, but it would be very tough.

All she had needed was an industrial machine that could monitor her heart and a couple of valves of medicine that could stabilize her reaction.

Kai had known that Rei had needed all of these supplies. He was also afriad of what troubles could occur between everything going on inside her.

He was very skeptical about asking Kuroji about this distress, but he would do it for Rei.

He had loved Rei the moment she had first spoke. Her pale figure didn't seem to match her long darkened hair. Her eyes were the color of diamonds.

Rei Shinara was the most prettiest girl in his eyes. There wasn't anything he could do without her, and he didn't want to see her die young.

'If she stays like this then for sure her eyes will crumble into millions of tears. She will find out how long she will be able to live, unless we find her a heart donor. Otherwise she's a goner.

I just want the girl to be happy. I want to tell her that I love her, but it's hard. What would she think? How would she feel?'

Kai had thought about everything with Rei. She was asleep on the bed, and he wanted her for himself.

Kai slowly walked out of the hospital room, and headed to Kuroji's office.

"Hello son. How's Rei doing?" Kuroji looked over from his mindless flow of papers on his desk.

"Hey. She's doing alright. There's something I want to ask you,"

"Sure, what is it?"

"I want to make sure Rei can spend her nights outside. She really wants to see the stars with the moonlight hitting her. Is there a way for that to happen?"

"Yes, but I'm not sure if we can use it on Rei. She's a child, and rarely has enough strength to control her heart. We can try."

Kuroji looked motionless on the desk, but he decided to give a reasurring glance at Kai.

Rei opened her eyes to sunlight filling the room with casual delight.

She smiled because soon Kai would walk through the door, and greet her good morning.

"Maybe tonight I'll see the stars,"
