"Maybe tonight I'll see the stars,"
Rei had woken up from her slumber to see Kai standing next to her.
'The stars are pretty and colorful tonight. Maybe I could go out there with Kai today.'
"Is there anything planned for me to go through today?"
"Indeed, you're going to test out our newest technology. This will help you see the stars."
Kai looked down at her, and gave her a signature smile. His smile had brightened Rei's desolate future.
"Please don't tell me this is an April fool's day prank, Kai."
"It isn't. I promise. Kuroji is going to walk in soon with the details about the new technology." Kai smiled again, to reassure Rei.
"Rei Shinara, I'm here to explain the new technology to you. Kuroji isn't really able to explain, so he sent me. I'm Hisoka, the girl behind the technology."
Hisoka walked into the hospital room, her long black hair curled bounced as she moved. She was wearing a white blouse, and blue jeans. She had porcelain skin, and seemed pretty nice.
"This technology is supposed to help you go outside during the night. All it is, is an injection that slows down your heart defect. It protects you while your outside for three hours." Hisoka said, and Kuroji came inside with the injection needle.
He injected the serum into Rei's arm, and it immediately went into effect.
Rei had tried to stand up, but she failed in trying. Kai came to her rescue and put his arms around her to help her outside.
Once outside, she saw the glimmering stars for the second time. This time, however, the stars were brighter and much more comfortable.
Kai stood and watched carefully of Rei. He didn't want his love to die, and was glad the serum was working.
"Rei, the stars are so beautiful, and you're just as beautiful as the stars."
