Since Niall had practically forced me to go out with him, I decided that I might as well dress up, so we wouldn’t have to waste time if he made me change from my planned jeans and a t-shirt.

Wearing a simple, strapless ocean blue knee length dress and a gold tinted belt with my white flats. Putting my hair in a side braid and applying some tinted lip-gloss. I then grabbed my studded clutch before walking into the sitting room.

I looked at my phone 7:15pm

He was late. He asked me out, and he’s late. Maybe he just decided not to come, which was fine with me. Cause I didn’t want to go out with him in the first place.

Just when I started to take off my shoes, I hear a knock on the door. I slip my shoes back on and walk towards the door, and open it to reveal my date.

”Sorry I’m late, my hair just wasn’t working with me tonight.” I laugh a bit at Niall’s comment.

”You look nice.” I tell him, looking at his appearance. A pair of Levi’s that hung low on his hips, showing the top of his red banded boxers. And a vintage Queen t-shirt.

”You look beautiful yourself.” He takes my hand, leading me outside. I lock the door behind us, and walk towards his dark green Mazda. He opens the door and I get in, then he proceeds to go to the other side and get in himself.

”So where are we going?” I ask curiously.

”It’s a French restaurant I can’t pronounce the name of.” He laughs.

I nod and lean my head on my knuckle, that’s propped on the middle console.

The trees and the rest of the surroundings pass by in a blur as he weaves in and out of traffic. “Shouldn’t you slow down? The speed limits fifty.”

The speedometer goes down from 76 to 55. A vast improvement.

His eyes were intensely focused on the road, so I decided I could check my phone without being rude.

2 New Messages Both from Stephanie.

7:17 ’Michael wants to know if you want him to follow you on your date. So he’s there if things go bad. -Steph’

7:25 ’Everything going all right? Michaels offer is still open.’

’Things are fine. And even if I did want Michael to come spy on us, I don’t even know where we’re going, so I couldn’t tell him where to be. ~Hails’

7:33 ‘Text me when you get to wherever and tell me what you’re near, so I can tell him. That is if you want him there.’

’Okay, can do. But tell Michael, if he comes into wherever I’m going, he’ll have to stay hidden. I don’t know if this guy has anger issues or not.’

7:35 ‘Can do. Be safe Hailey.’

’I will. Love ya girlie.’

I shut off my phone and put it back in my clutch and when I look up, I see Niall’s gaze is on me, and we’re parked at the restaurant.

”Ready to go in?” He asks.

”Yeah, let’s go.” I open my door and immediately look at the surroundings. There was a small gas station, a consignment shop, and I could see a few road signs from where we were.

Niall guides me inside and tells the man he has reservations under Horan. We are guided to a table next to the window, which gives a gorgeous view of the city.

Taking out my phone again, I quickly text Stephanie the details and then put the phone immediately back in my clutch.

”So what’s good here?” I ask, his attention turning to me.
