Chapter 4

STILL JACKS POINT OF VIEW

Her toes were wiggling and a soft and fragile giggle was released from behind the vast curtains. I smirked dramatically. With one flick of the wrist, the weight yanked the flowing curtains to the left side. "Gotcha!" I exclaimed expecting a happily "oh you found me" display. Instead a small girl with red hair gasped in shock, dismissing my happiness. Oh no! It was Elsa's younger sister, Anna. What is she doing hiding behind a curtain? Since Anna couldn't see me, she retreated from her spot, where she waited to be discovered by Elsa. No windows were open so this probably scared her and she tiptoed to the curtain to retrieve it.the edge of the curtain was frosted from where I had held it, so she took her small, stubby hands and began to gently tug and jerk on the fabric. When the curtain was almost extracted from the hinge, It surprised me so I released it from my grip.This took Anna by surprise as she yanked it with all her might. She flew backwards, knocking into a wooden table near by. Everything that was placed aimlessly on the table fell to the ground with a loud crash. They shattered, making a shower of glittery pieces all over. My blood turned cold and I became even paler then usual. What just happened. This stunt really set myself up for a beating from Elsa. To make things even worse, the curtain, which was still hanging from a small clip, broke from its hinges and landed right on Anna covering her head to toe. I winced and my mind was debating whether or not to help. The moment when I came to a decision, a maid burst through the doors and ran towards Anna, going through my body like air. The maid, named Lisa, fell down to her knees and pulled Anna towards her. "What happened? What was that loud bang! Are you ok sweetie?" Anna grabbed her head and burst into tears as she held on to Lisa for support. "My head is throbbing! There's so much discomfort!" Lisa touched the spot where Anna pointed out and she winced for the pain caused her to release more tears. "I was playing hide and seek with Elsa-" Lisa's eyes widened and she grabbed Anna's hands"You were playing with Elsa! You know your not supposed to get near her. Your parents orders!" What's so bad about Elsa, I thought, as my face warmed and flushed with anger. The tears fell fast and Anna begged Lisa not to tell for they both would get into trouble. Lisa apparently didn't think it was a good time to argue, so with that note She picked Anna up and carried her down the stairs to get her fixed up and to call someone who had time on their hands to clean up the clutter of broken glass. As I stood there dumbfounded from what happened my happiness of finding Elsa faded because this story was going to have to be revealed sometime or later. If she found out later from someday that isn't me , she would be even angrier. This is so horrible. Why didn't I help. It was such a selfish thing, just standing there and not doing anything. But what could I do. Seeing Anna cry broke my heart into tiny pieces. Minutes later, my feet cautiously took one step at a time trying not to step on glass! It was impossible though because glass covered the floor. Occasionally one would prick me in the foot causing blood to run out and stain the floor. Whatever. It's not the end of the world! There have been many things that caused me pain in the past. Compared to this I didn't really feel anything. When I finished crossing the sea of sharp glass I sprinted down the hall and around the corner. Someone slammed into my body causing me to fly backwards. When I landed, a few pieces of the glass pinched my body and realized I landed on many of them "OWW!! Oh great what a pleasure" I growled sarcastically through gritted teeth. I picked the pieces that stuck. "Hey watch it!! They said hitting me in the shoulder. Out of the corner of my eye I focused on who it was! . Our eyes met and we both gasped loudly. Finally the search payed off.
