Sonic the Hedgehog

(Part 1)

You lie in bed staring up at the ceiling, hugging your Sonic plush. You're unable to sleep, still thinking about what happened earlier today...

~Flashback~

You're on your way back home after a long day at school,  tired and exhausted. Just as you're about to open the door to go inside, you hear screaming, and you realize that it's your parents. You slowly and quietly open the door, and sneak inside. You quietly tiptoe to the kitchen, but stay out of sight. You listen, and hear your mom yell.

"Fine, I don't need you anyway!!!!"

Then your dad yelled back.

"I never needed you!!!!"

You silently gasped, and covered your mouth; you felt as if a part of you died on the inside.

"FINE!!!" she screamed angrily.

"FINE!!!!" your dad yelled back.

You slowly walked in the doorway to the kitchen, not caring if they saw you. Your throat tightened up, and your vision started get blurry.

Both of your parents turned and looked at you. Your mother's eyes were moist with tears, and your father's face was red with anger and his eyes were moist.

You look at them both, tears quickly beginning to form in the corners of your eyes.

They stare at you, looks of sadness on their faces.

"(Y/N).... Sweetheart....." your mom says while taking a step towards you, but you take a step back.

"(Y/N)...." your dad takes a step forward also, but you take two more steps back, shaking your head in disbelief.

"N-No.. N-No...." you stammer, almost barely a whisper.

You back away a few more inches, then throw your backpack on the ground, and run upstairs to your room.

"(Y/N), wait!!!" both of your parents yell in unison, and run after you.

But before they can catch you, you reach your room, then quickly spin around and slam the door shut, and lock it.

A few seconds later, there's banging at your door.

"(Y/N)!! Please come out!!!" your mother pleads.

"(Y/N)!!! Please!!! We can expain!!!!" your father yells.

"J-Just g-go away!!!!" you sob shakily. You run over to your bed and jump on it and grab a pillow, and begin to sob into it.

Then, the banging at the door stopped, and you heard footsteps walking away from your door. You continue sobbing, holding the pillow with a tight grip. Tears stream from your eyes onto the pillow, which left a moist spot on the pillow when you lift your head. You nose starts running, so you sniff and wipe it with the back of your hand (ew, boogies :P). You rest your head back on the pillow, and cry silently. Soon enough, you slowly fall into a deep sleep...

~End of flashback~

You sit up, and stand, then tiptoe to the door. You open it, and carefully tiptoe out of your room. You look around, and wonder where your parents are.

"Mom?... Dad?..." You call out, but there's no response. You go to your parents room and open the door. You go inside, only to find nobody there.

You go to one of the front windows, and pull the curtain aside, only to find both of your parent's cars are gone.

You sigh, but your not sure if it's a depressed sigh, or a sigh of relief.

You go back upstairs and to your room, and open the window. You look at all the stars and crescent moon. You sigh, then slowly begin to close the window. Suddenly, an earth-shaking 'BOOM!!!' echoed through the night air.

Your eyes widen.

'That sounded like it came from my backyard!!'  You think to yourself.

You quickly shut the window, then ran out of your room and downstairs to the door leading to the backyard.

You swing the door open, only to be met by giant dust clouds. You squint your eyes and cough, while fanning the dust away from your face. You slowly walk forwards, coughing and spitting a little dust that got in your mouth.

As the dust clears a little, you see a motionless figure laying facedown in the dirt.

As you get closer to the figure, you realize he made a crater the size of himself, which wasn't very big, but still. You crouch down right beside him, but the figure looks... Odd... Misshapen to be exact...

As the dust slowly clears completely, you realize who the figure is; you gasp and cover your mouth.

"I-It couldn't be!!" You whisper, wide-eyed.

So... How am I doing so far? :3 This is my first time doing this sort of thing, so it may not be that good :P I will upload part 2 of this as soon as I can ^^
