Suspension

Chapter 9

It had been a couple hours since I caught up to Kakashi, currently Sakura is walking beside Kakashi and Tazuna, while Naruto and Sasuke are a little ahead of all of us -quite a bit of space between them- and me? I'm hanging around at the back of the group. Sakura started as Kakashi about the five great nations, making the others slow down to listen, while I zoned out and ended up way ahead of the others.

"Shit!" I muttered as I stepped in a puddle. I stood still however when I realized the there was 2 Chakra signatures emitting from the puddle. I started walking again, and as soon as I was about 3 meters away from the ninjas I quickly flashed to a near by tree -masking my Chakra-, where I could see the path but no one was able to see me.

'Kakashi should be able to handle them, after all their only chunin level.' I thought silently to myself. I silently glared at Kakashi as he strolled past the puddle not paying attention. 'If you get those genin killed Kakashi..' I thought dangerously quietly growling at him.

A few seconds after they all walked past the puddle, 2 ninja came out of it and wrapped their chains around Kakashi. 'Idiot!' I thought as I unsheathed my katana and held it in reverse. Masking my Chakra even more, I slowly got closer to the road, as soon as I got to the road the 2 ninja -whom I reconized as the demon brothers- pulled the chains, tearing Kakashi into little pieces.

"One down, 3 to go." One of them smirked. As he and the other ran towards the genin, and Tazuna.

Before they could get there, I appeared behind the one on the left, quickly placing my katana at his neck.

"What!?" He cried as I pressed my weapon even tighter against his neck.

I quickly put him under a gen-jutsu and ran after the other one, who was heading towards Naruto.  "NARUTO MOVE!" I yelled at him, but he was frozen with fear. I muttered curses under my breath as I ran faster, when I got there I noticed Naruto had a cut on his hand. 'No doubt that those claws have poison on them.' I thought to myself, my scowl deepening. I ran towards the enemy ninja, and swung my katana at him. 

He blocked my blow with his right hand claws, and attempted to stab my stomach with the other. I quickly activated my kekkei genkai, and repelled him away from the Genin, the client and me.  I stood in front of them in a protective way, my now purple eyes glaring at them intently. Deactivating my dojutsu I was about to race forward when Kakashi appeared and wrapped his arm around the enemies neck, putting him in a head lock. 

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto and Sakura called as they saw him, Sasuke being the emo his is just 'hn'ed. 

"Yo!" Kakashi replied casually, while he and the others started talking, I tied the 2 ninja up to a tree. 

A hawk screeched from above and started circling around the area. 'What does he want now?' I thought with a sigh as I stretched my arm out for he hawk to land on. It had a scroll attached to it right foot, I reached for the scroll and unattached it from the bird. As soon as I did that it took off to the skies.

'Ivy, you need to come back to the village immediately. I have received word that Orochimaru has been lurking near the gates and I want you to investigate it. If he is there you are to come and report it to me, do not engage him in battle.' I read the words on the scroll in my head.

"Kakashi. Change of plans." I looked at him with a blank stare. "I'm needed back at the village." I told him with seriousness noticeable in my voice.

This just so happened to get the attention of the 4 other people around.

"What?!? Why do you have to go back to the village? Why can't you just stay on this mission with us?" Naruto shouted at me.

"It's not my choice Naruto." I told him, looking him dead in the eyes. "If I could I would stay on this mission. But I can't go against the Hokage."

"How is that fair!?" He shouted yet again.

"Its not." I replied calmly. I walked up to him and grab his hand. Noticing that it's almost already healed. "But I am nothing more then a tool for the village." I drew the rest of the poison out of his hand and healed it all the way. "When you get back I'll get you some ramen to make up for this okay?"

"I guess so." He muttered with a sour expression on his face.

I nodded and turned back to Kakashi. He just looked at me with sympathy which I returned with a glare. "You keep them safe Kakashi." I muttered to him as I walked by. Already leaving them.

"I will." He muttered back.

I was about 6 feet away from the group when 2 arms wrapped around my stomach. I turned and hugged them back, knowing it was Naruto.

"Just watch sensei. We'll be getting that ramen before you know it! He told me with a big smile.

"I know we will." With that I unwrapped his arms from my stomach and started walking the way we just came with one thought on my mind. 'Be safe you guys.'

I'm back baby! Idk how much this book will be updated tbh. But I will update as much as I can. And please call me out on any grammar or spelling errors, because I would really like to know so I can  fix it before I edit this. Anywhore... vote and comment if you wish.
