Time went by very quickly and the bell rang for lunch. She stood up and constantly walked ahead to her usual lunch spot, the rooftop. It’s windy and peaceful and you get a nice view of the school grounds. It was her favorite spot.
When she arrived, a group she recognized as the OutCasts Gang stood there with smirks on their faces and their loose blazers flapping with the wind.
“Oh, hello there,” the biggest guy greeted with a terrifying tone.
She stood there, unfazed by the big man.
“You’re at my favorite spot, you better go,” she warned.
“This is our spot now, so, if you don’t leave, we’ll threaten you,” the big guy advised threateningly.
“You’re at my favorite spot, leave now,” she warned again, this time with a threatening glare.
“And if I don’t?” the big guy asked.
“This is what’ll happen to you!!” some middle pitch, orotund voice yelled from behind her and a soccer ball flew swiftly past her and knocked out every gang member in sight.
When they landed on the ground, they ran away using the other door.
Caine turned around to see Tenma smiling at her. She grinned back.
“Great, because of this, another rumor will spread,” she said, putting her hands on her hips.
“Sorry, I was just really hungry,” he said back while clutching his growling stomach.
“So, you easily get upset when you’re hungry and you don’t care if you hurt people with a ball?” she asked, raising a brow.
“You needed saving so I didn’t hurt anyone! But about me being easily upset is true because I usually don’t shout like this,” he said, annoyed and irritated of his growling stomach. He wants to eat so badly. He trained and practiced the whole morning. He doesn’t even remember if he ate breakfast or not!
“You sound like you’re trying to defend yourself when what you usually do is just give an embarrassed smile,” she said back, mentally laughing at his irritated face.
“Can we eat now, please?” he pleaded. He wants to eat as soon as possible. If not, he won’t be able to stand much longer.
“Yes, yes we can,” she finally said.
“Great!” he cheered.
Tenma let her lead the way and they sat in the middle of the whole rooftop. He took off the lid of his lunch box and the smell of Tempura filled the whole place. Not even the wind could blow it away.
“Wow, Matsukaze, did you cook that?” Caine asked him.
“No, I suck at cooking. Aki-nee cooked it for me,” he said.
“Your sister?”
“No, she’s my cousin that’s like a sister,”
“Oh, is that so?” she asked and took off the lid of her lunch box and the smell of Tonkatsu battled against the smell of Tempura.
“Whoa, you cooked that?” he asked with his stomach growling more. He didn’t touch his food yet but he waited.
“No, Ren-Onii-san did. I have negative 100 skill in cooking. Oh, and, Ren-onii-san is also my cousin,”
“Looks like we’re the same,”
“Looks like it,”
They laughed together and stopped when their stomachs growled in great sync. They both blushed with embarrassment and smiled to replace it.
