"you stepped back" Riley said to me as she looked down at me.
My blue eyes looked up at her brown "honest" eyes. "I know you stepped back." I looked down wanting to cry... She was right...

It was silent and all you could hear was the fire crackling. And when it was just me and Lucas, everything started to happen.

It was just the two of us, the fire, and the twinkling stars. Holding the secret inside me all this time has made me very depressed. But when I let it out to "him" everything felt peaceful, like I let go of all my broken problems.

my eyes opened as that thought went away. I looked over at Riley who was sleeping right next to me. Messy brown hair on the pillows, legs spread out. Yep. Sleeping with Riley can sometimes be a pain. So there she was dreaming away while I'm up crying all night, non stop thinking.

Once the whole triangle thing happened, I knew what I had to do. And Lucas was right... someone was going to get hurt, and of course it's me. Because people I love leave me, that's just me. And maybe I was right. "Hope really is for suckers"😔🔥✨
