Chapter 5 Topangas

When me and Riley got out of Spanish class we went over to Smakle,Farkle,Zay,and Lucas who just got out of Math Class. "Hey guys! do you want to work on our project at Topangas?" Riley asked the group.

They all nodded.
"ok let's go then" I said smiling.

When we got their we all sat down and got our work out.

Riley came out from the kitchen.
"hey Lucas?"
he looked up "yea?"
"wanna share a smoothie?"
he raised an eyebrow "two straws?"
she blushed "yea"
he blushes back "sure"

Oh crud
"do you want a smoothie peaches?" Riley asked with a smile.
I smile back "sure"
she turns around and starts walking towards the fruits and blender.
"hey riles"
"yea?"
"umbrella?"
"sure"

After Riley gave me my smoothie, her and Lucas sat at the counter and shared theirs. I could hear them giggling.

soon Smakle, Farkle, and Zay had to leave which was not a good thing!

Once they all left it was just all 3 of us
Riley glanced over at me.
"come join us Maya!"
"I'd rather throw myself off a cliff" I said rolling my eyes.
"huh?" she said
oops...
"oh um... I said I'd rather do my work. I wanna get it done with ya know?"
Riley nodded "I still don't know what to do for mine."
it got quite and it felt awkward

"well we're done with this smoothie anyway" she said.
"I'm going to clean some of the dishes in the kitchen then we'll close up. Wanna sleep over peaches?"
I smiled and nodded, maybe that'll keep my mind off of things.

When she went into the kitchen Lucas sat up and sat down next to me.

"so what are you doing for the project?"
I looked at him his eyes looking at me.
"I don't know yet"
"haven't I changed?"
I laughed "yea you got hotter!"
"as hot as a campfire?" he said raising his eyebrows.
"shut up" I said blushing.
"since when do we even talk?" I said.
"what?"
"ever since you chose Riley we stopped talking"
"oh yea"
"so why?
"idk I kinda miss talking to you"
I smiled "me too I mean just because you're with Riley doesn't mean you can't talk to me"
"your right. Your a really good friend to be around."
"yea"

I thought the sleepover with Riley would get things off my mind but it didn't because they were texting non stop all night.
