I rushed home from the police station, remembering that my grandparents were stopping by after dinner. I dashed upstairs to my parent's bedroom and tugged at the safe in the wall. After putting much effort into pulling the safe out of the wall, it finally came loose. I had a strange feeling to hide it, so I picked it up, carried it to my room, and stuffed it in the back of my closet, making sure to cover it up well. I knew I had to do something about the hole in the wall, so I decided to take a detour and go to the hardware store. I purchased, a small block of wood, ruffly about the size of the safe, a container of wall putty, and a container of paint that matched the paint in my parent's bedroom. When I got home I quickly ran up the stair to the bedroom and shoved the wooden block into the hole in the wall. It fit snug, but there was still some cracks, so I took the wall putty and using a spatula, filled in all the cracks between the wooden block and the wall. The putty dried pretty fast, so I quickly painted over it, hoping it wasn't too noticeable. I prayed that paint would dry quickly, as I ran down the stairs to make dinner. I quickly made myself some spaghetti and meatballs, as it was one of the only things I knew how to make. Once I had finished making it, I went upstairs to see if the paint was dry and praise the Lord it was. I quickly hung the painting and went back downstairs to eat my meal. Just as I finished eating, I heard a knock on the front door. I got up and went to open the door. Of course, it was my grandparents. I let them in and led them through the house in mostly silence, Grandma making a few small comments here and there, that was until we got to my parent's bedroom. "Oh my! I remember that painting! It was always one of my favorites!" Grandma said dramatically. "Do you mind dear if I take it off the wall and have a closer look at it?" Grandma asked. "I don't mind at all," I stated. Grandma reached for the painting and unhooked it off the wall.
