Chapter 15: Problems

Wang Yuan Perspective:

'I think they know I'm here. I'll have to make a break for it with this bad leg.'

Back to y/n Perspective:

Buzz.

Jun Kai frantically checked his phone.

I think I'm being watched. I'll wait 10 minutes for you guys to get ready to pick me up. I'm just going to run and hope. If I get caught, don't come to get me. If all goes well I'll see you soon. I'll head for Jiang Road 2 miles up from the bridge.

"He's going for it," said Jun Kai grimly. "Driver, head to Jiang Road 2 kilometers (about 1.5ish miles) north of the bridge."

"He's going to meet us there?" you asked meekly. You were shivering and worried about Wang Yuan.

"Don't worry we'll see him soon," said Qian Xi finally. He put his arm around y/n calming her down.

They arrive at the meeting point a few minutes later.

"And now we wait," said Jun Kai.

Wang Yuan Perspective:

'Time to go,' he thought. He climbed down from the tree and headed west towards Jiang Road.

When he was ½ a kilometer (about 1/3ish of a mile) away from the car, the cloaked male caught up.

"I knew you were watching me, but I won't go down without a fight," said a determined Wang Yuan.

"You're injured, I'd suggest you give up now," said the unknown assailant amused.

Wang Yuan suddenly lunged at him trying to catch him off guard and thus the fight began.

Back to y/n Perspective:

Jun Kai was the first to hear the sounds of fighting. He instantly went for the door, ready to join Wang Yuan. Qian Xi, however, stopped him.

"We can't just leave y/n here, and even if we go there I'm pretty sure it's a trap," said Qian Xi.

"I don't care, my little brother's out there I have to go and help him," argued Jun Kai.

"It's too dangerous we might get kidnapped," argued Qian Xi.

"Then we do it together," you said. Qian Xi was surprised you sided with Jun Kai and couldn't seem to oppose you.

"Alright fine, but this was your idea, Jun Kai," said Qian Xi.

They left the car and headed in the direction of the noises.

Wang Yuan Perspective:

The fight was not going well. 'He brought reinforcements into this one. I just hope the guys won't hear this and come,' he thought.

Just then Jun Kai and Qian Xi came in to knock out the assailant.

"Get back it's a trap!" shouted Wang Yuan.

Six more cloaked figures came in from the trees.

"Didn't I tell you not to come?" said Wang Yuan.

"But we were worried and we came to save you," you said.

"You brought y/n here too," shouted Wang Yuan.

"How far is the car from here?" asked Wang Yuan. "Couple hundred meters," replied Qian Xi.

We have to make a break for it, it was hard enough to fight off one them much less 6," said Wang Yuan.

"Go now," said Jun Kai, "I'll stall them a bit."

You and Qian Xi sprint back towards the car while Wang Yuan ran as fast he could with his twisted ankle.

Jun Kai made it out with a few cuts and bruises, but Wang Yuan looked like a nightmare. Once Wang Yuan made it in the car he promptly fell asleep from exhaustion.

Qian Xi took that time to start treating his wounds while you tended to Jun Kai's. The driver drove you to the nearest hotel (because I don't feel like writing about a hospital).

When Wang Yuan woke up he told Jun Kai, Qian Xi and you everything that happened. He was still mad that you all came after him.

Soon Jun Kai and Qian Xi went to get dinner for everyone leaving you with Wang Yuan.

You stared at each other a bit awkwardly.

"Thank you for coming to save me," he said as he pulled you into a hug.

Wang Yuan kissed you on the forehead this time showing his cute smile. You laughed as he pulled away to stuff his mouth full of snacks.

"I'm sorry I kissed you so many times, I haven't even asked you to be my girlfriend," he said apologetically, "Will you?"

You secretly had a crush on Qian Xi but you didn't know how to say no to Wang Yuan. You paused, and decided to say, "You're injured right now; I'll answer that question when you get better."

Wang Yuan pouted at you, but then he smile and said, "That's ok if you don't want to be my girlfriend, we'll stay friends."

Wang Yuan never ceases to amaze you; sometimes he acts several times his age, but other times he's the funny, cute kid of the group.

Soon Wang Yuan fell asleep, but as you tried to get off the bed, Wang Yuan grabbed you in his sleep and held on tightly.

When Jun Kai and Qian Xi got back, Jun Kai quietly laughed when he saw you two. Even Qian Xi was amused as he smiled at you.

You asked them to help you out of Wang Yuan's hold Qian Xi slowly loosened Wang Yuan's grip just enough for you to get up. Before Wang Yuan could hug Qian Xi, Jun Kai dropped a few bags of chips into Wang Yuan's hands. With his snacks Wang Yuan cradled them as he slept on.

You thought Wang Yuan looked adorable when he cradled his snacks so you took a few pictures of him.

You three then left him to rest and recover, as you went to eat dinner.
