Fuck fuck fuck.My brain cannot stop spinning. It's as if my hangover has it's own hangover. Fuck, I can't even think of a funny joke about this shitty ass hangover.
"Dude, you look like shit." I hear her laugh by my side.
"Yea, you too," I comment, scanning the way Victoria looks.
The two of us look like we've just gotten the flu, got hit by a bus, died and then somehow rose from the dead.
"Do you have an extra ibrufen? My head hurts like fuck" She moans, scanning through her handbag.
I shoot her a dirty look. "You fucking idiot." I laugh, "You didn't take it this morning? Of course you'd feel like shit"
She doesn't reply just stares back at the sky, shutting her eyes tightly.
Victoria and I have just always been best friends. I don't think we even planned it. We just both have screwed up lives and like destroying ourselves. We probably wouldn't even be friends if we decided to actually be a positive use to society.
We hardly have anything in common except for drugs, alcohol, sadness and disobeying rules. Two misfits who just somehow became this weird pair of best friends.
"Sneak to the back?" She turns to me with a look of desperation and boredom.
"What lesson do you have now?"
"English With Mr Bradley till nine," she replies giving me a look of 'kill me'.
"Let's go." I agree, as we sneak behind the main hallway back door, behind the gym. It was our spot. Although, we did have many spots.
We skipped class and sat out on the metal bars of the secret corner that the architects built in honour for us students who can't make it into life, and will probably end up as high school dropouts. Right by the wall graffitied with penises and the dumpster.
When we reach, Garry and Lex are there too. The four of us are the heart and soul of detention. We run that bitch.
"Sup mothafeckas!" Garry laughed, the amount of drugs he was on was unfathomable.
Lex just takes a deep puff of smoke in and blows it out in a long drag. Victoria pries the joint out of Lex's fingers and sticks it into her mouth. Lex rolls her eyes playfully, lacing her rough fingers around Victoria's.
The two were like a couple, but not. It made my views on relationships even more confusing. Vic and Lex have both said that they were just friends, and didn't understand how they even acted like a couple. (Yea, like friends go around kissing each other. They probably pretend to forget it the next day when they're sober.) Lex has even mentioned how she's "super" straight.
I never told the two but they would honestly make a fucking cute couple. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure that Lex is a closeted lesbian and Vic's bi-curious. Just saying, my gaydar is pretty good.
Garry passes Vic and I a cigarette each, Vic quickly whipping out her lighter for the two of us.
Inhale. Exhale.
Smoke fills my lungs and it feels like sadness, emptiness but in a second, happiness.
