School just got out. Walking down the halls I notice the feeling has if all eyes are watching me. I look around and I see girls looking at me while sharing secrets. Well they are just cowards if they don’t want to say it to my face.
Sue comes up to me and walks with me to my locker. It’s a comfortable silence for a few seconds. While I focus on the numbers of the lock, she starts talking.
“Psy. Somethin is going on around the school and I don’t know what it is. But I do know its about us.” She whispers so only I can hear.
“Sue it’s probably some lame rumor someone started. Just ignore it. We have heard tons of rumors, and have any of them been right?” I look at her.
“No. But I have a feeling this is no stupid, lame rumor. I think this rumor will cause problems.”
My brother walks towards us. And see every little slutty girl try to get his attention. If they think he will like them, well, they got another thing comin. He knows a decent girl when he sees one.
“Hey sue, hey lil sis.” He has a cheesy grin on his face. “Ready to go home? You comin with Sue?”
“Ya, we are ready. We have some stuff to talk about.” On our way out the doors a random guy approaches us. I recognize him from the football team my brother played on.
“So Psy. I heard you like older men?” He laughs. “And apparently I’m too young of a guy.”
“Dude, what are you talking about? Don’t mess with my sister like that.” Taylor threatens him.
“There’s a rumor goin round that she got it on with an older man, like older than a high school man.”
“What the heck! I barely got my first kiss this year! Who told you that!” I shove the kid down.
“Wait, when was this first kiss? And with whom?” Taylor looks at me with a confused face.
“That’s not the problem right now. The rumor is the problem!” I hurry to change the subject. “Who told you that rumor?” The kid gets up. He’s not that bad lookin. Probably a junior. His blonde hair a messy shag. Wait, focus Psy! Focus on the problem.
“It’s been all over the school. Tons of people have been talking about it. So I wouldn’t know who started it. I swear.” He has his hands up as a retreat. As he turns he almost trips over his self.
I look back at Sue and Taylor. “This is bigger than I thought.” Before they can say anything I turn and walk out the doors to the parking lot towards Taylor’s white little ford truck. The other two run to catch up with me.
“Wait Psy.” Sue yells for me to slow down. “We will talk with your parents when we get home. Just stay calm for a bit, till we get you home.”
“Ok, I just can’t believe someone would be so low to do that to me.” I look down at my toes.
Suddenly I feel her arms wrap around me into a hug. “Don’t worry baby girl. They are just jealous that they can’t be as kewlio as you.” I start laughing.
“You are something else, you know that?” I laugh at her.
“But you love me!” She screams while hopping into the truck.
“Unfortunately, yes.” I hop in after her. We drive home to solve this stupid problem. I don’t need this right now.
