I got back up sooner than I thought. Will grabbed my arm and helped me up.

"Are you alright?" I gazed back into his eyes and down to the floor. Jack Sparrow was lying unconscious on the floor with bits and pieces of broken glass shattered around him. I nod and leaped up to hug him. He was startled but returned the favor.

"I'm going to check if Elizabeth is alright." I turn to leave but stop to take one good look at him. He risked his life to save me. I don't know how I was going to return the favor.

"Elizabeth? Are you alright?" I call. I found her in her room reading a book while one of her maids was making her bed warm. She leaps up out of bed and races to hug me.

"Thank Goodness you are alright! Who saved you? Where is Sparrow? What did he do to you?" I take her hand and assured her that I was find that he was captured and put into jail. She breathes a sigh of relief.

"I can't believe Will saved you! He is a sweet and charming young man. He would do anything for you." There was a look of sadness in her eyes.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" She walks over to her bed and motions for me to sit down next to her. She fiddled with the medallion around her neck. The one the Pirate fancied before starting to speak.

"I have been meaning to tell you this from the moment we found you and Will. I can see it in his eyes. That he loves you. I don't know how to say this but, I honestly love him as well. I need to know. Do you love him?" The words were like knives cutting deep into my skin. Something I feared every step of the way.

"I don't know. Maybe, but I would never do anything to hurt you. Look, I give up that love for him that I have so you could be happy." She smiles, but it falls when I hear gunshots outside. I look at her than run to the window. She fingers the medallion around her neck.

"Oh, Elizabeth." I grab her wrist and run downstairs.

"What's happening?" She questions alarmed.

"Pirate attack." I mutter.

"What?!" She says yanking her arm down.

"Elizabeth, if you don't come with me, we all are going to die." She rolls her eyes and follows me. There were knocks on the door and a man opened it. I screamed when he was shot and the pirates invaded the house.

"There! Get the 2 girls!" I grab Elizabeth's hand and we race through the house. We ran into a small room. We ran into one of Elizabeth's maids who was frantically trying to run.

"Miss Swann! They've come to kidnap you and Miss Smyth! You need to go!" We were interrupted by banging of guns at the door. Elizabeth gives instructions to the maid and we both run down to the family room where two swords lay in above the fire place. She runs and tries to get them out but they were stuck together. Elizabeth grabs my arm and we run into the closet. The door opens and we don't make a sound.

"We know you're here, poppets. We know one of you since the day you where born. The whole pirate world knows who you are. You both have something of ours, and it calls to us. The gold calls to us." Suddenly the door swings open and Elizabeth screams, "Parlay!" The plump one looks confused.

"What?" He asks.

"Parlay, I invoke the right of parlay! According to the code of the Brethren, set down by the pirates Morgan and Bartholomew, you must take us to your captain!" I look at her like she is crazy.

"I know the code." The plump one sneers.

"If an adversary demands parlay, you can do them no harm until the parlay is complete." Elizabeth grits through her teeth.

"It would appear. So do you." He speaks slowly.

"To blazes with the code!" The other one whines.

"They want us to take them to the Captain! And they will go without a fuss." He pauses to look at us.

"We must honor the code." The skinny one grabs me by the arm and the plump one grabs Elizabeth. We race out of the house and down the frantic streets of Port Royal. Screams and shouts were heard everywhere. I caught sight of Will.

"WILL!!!!" I shout. But it was useless. He just stares before someone hits him in the head. The pirates tie me and Elizabeth's hands together and force us into a boat.

"We don't have all day, lassie." The plump one says to me. He shoves me onto a massive ship. It looked so familiar! Why? I got into the ship and studied my surroundings. A flag with a skull flared into the midnight sky.

"Who are these two?" A taller man steps to the pirates.

"They are under the protection of parlay." One of the men say. Elizabeth walks up to the men.

"I am here to-" she was cut off when the man slapped her across the cheek.

"You speak when spoken" He glares angrily. I walk up and slap the man in the face.

"And you don't touch my friend like that when spoken." I yell. He looks at me for a moment then grabs me by the neck.

"She is to go unharmed" Another man,
I guessed was the captain says prickly. He puts me down and I run and stand by Elizabeth.

"Apologizes, Miss-"

"Smyth. Miss Smyth." I finish. He turns to Elizabeth.

"And who may you be?"

"Elizabeth... Turner. I'm a maid in the governor's household." Why was she lying? She is Elizabeth Swann and she is the governor's daughter! The crew stares at her and starts whispering.

"And how does a maid come to own a trinket such as that? A family heirloom, perhaps?"

"I didn't steal it, if that's what you mean." Elizabeth says offended.

"And you said your name was Miss Smyth?" I nod slightly. I didn't trust this man at all.

"You sound very familiar...I want to know where you came from." He moves closer to stroke my cheek.

"Don't touch me!" I yell slapping his hand down.

"Very well. You hand that over, we'll put your town to our rudder and ne'er return." Barbossa says reaching his hand over to take the medallion.

"I don't know I trust him." Elizabeth whispers to me.

"It's you two who invoked the parlay! Believe me, Miss Turner, you'd best hand it over, now... or these be the last friendly words you'll hear!" Elizabeth hesitates, but has no choice. She holds out the medallion. Barbossa grans it, clutches it in his fist like hope.

"Our bargain...?" I ask confused. Barbossa turns away and the bigger man starts shouting.

"Still the guns, and stow 'em! Signal the men, set the flags, and made good to clear port!" The cannons start start slow down and the guns cease. The pirates start moving around and the captain turns away from both of us.

"Wait! You must return us to shore! According to the rules of the Order of the Brethren-" Barbossa turns around and cuts Elizabeth off.

"First. Your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement, so I must do nothing. Secondly, you must be a pirate for the pirates code to apply. And you're not. And thirdly... the code is more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner and Miss Smyth."
