AVA'S POV

My eyes are crusted shut. Ew. That's gross. I peel them open. I can barley see anything. A big bright light is shining above me. It's blinding. I squeeze by eyes back shut. The air smells of rubber and alcohol. I try to lift my arm. I feel wires connected to me. I'm too tired to care. I feel someone shaking my shoulder a little.

"Ava," I hear, faintly. It sounds as though this voice is being shouted from the other side of a tunnel. I try opening my eyes again. Light. I let out a gasp. My voice is hoarse. I sit up a little. I feel weak.

"Ava," The voice is a little clearer. My vision is blurry, I cannot tell who is speaking. I try to speak, but I can't make the words. My head is cloudy.

Snap out of it, Ava. I tell myself. I force my eyes open all the way. The light is overbearing. I scream a little. Quietly. The person runs out of the room. Why did they leave me? I am alone now. I scream a little louder. Maybe the mystery person will come back. But I don't know who they are.

I don't even know where I am.
