Iris's Point of View:
I watched as the warriors took Lucius to the dungeons and Maxwell ran into the woods. I sighed not knowing where to go and walked back to the house, to Lucius's room. I sat there in the bed thinking and trying to figure out why this happened. I mean, I did knock him out. But he had it coming. For god sake, he cheated on me.
A knock on the door came a few hours later.
"Come in," I said.
A plump woman comes in.
"Luna...," she started to say.
"Please call me Iris," I told her.
"Okay Iris. Beta Maxwell wanted me to take you to your bedroom since the alpha is in the dungeons. Follow me please," she told me.
I got up and followed her to a different room. All kinds of clothes that looked like they would fit me were in there. I mean, there was clothes put on me when I first woke up. So someone must've found some that fitted me.
"Well, here you go Iris. I'll have dinner brought over to you. If you need anything, just ask," the woman told me, as she started to walk out.
"Wait. I never gotten your name," I said to her.
She stopped at the doorway and turned to face me.
"Oh. Silly me. I'm Rosemary," she said and walked out my new room, closing the door behind her.
I sighed and opened my window. The breeze hitting my face as I look out into the starry night. It felt cool and good, soothing my pounding head. I stuck my head back into the room, leaving my window open. I turned over and yelped in surprise, seeing Maxwell at the doorway with a tray of food in his hands.
"Holy sh*t Maxwell. You scared me," I said feeling my heart pounding in my chest.
"I'm sorry Iris. I didn't mean to scare you. I brought dinner up for us... That's if you're okay with me joining you," Maxwell said to me.
I nodded and plopped down onto the floor. Maxwell sat down, setting the tray of food in between us. We munched on the food and chatted after each bite.
"So why was I moved here?" I asked him.
"Well you see, Lucius is in no position to look after you. So I moved you here, where it's easier," Maxwell told me, grinning like a child.
I couldn't help but giggle.
"How is it easier?" I asked.
"Well, my bedroom is next to yours. So if you need anything, just come over and tell me. And if I'm not there, then I'm in the library. Which is at the end of the hallway. You can go in there anytime that you like," Maxwell said.
I smiled, blushing a little before yawning. I put my plate and cup back on the tray before standing up and stretching. Maxwell stood also, grabbing the tray. I walked over to my bed and slid into it.
"Good night Iris," Maxwell said.
"Night Max. Sleep well," I replied back with a yawn.
"You too," he said turning the light off.
I watched him walk out the room before drifting off to sleep.
