"Death is not a period that ends the great sentence of life, but a comma that punctuates it to more lofty significance. Death is not a blind alley that leads the human race into a state of nothingness, but an open door which leads man into life eternal. Let this daring faith, this great invincible surmise, be your sustaining power during these trying days."
- Martin Luther King Jr., Eulogy for the Martyred Children

It was a sunny beautiful day when you can hear birds sing, wind playing with trees, a mother in every house trying to wake her children up for school, a father reading a newspaper, young adults trying not to wake up to this painful world, people trying to get past yesterday and begin a new hopeful day, and an optimistic girl with so many dreams staring at her bedroom's ceiling with so much in mind of how to begin the day.
" Amelia!" Amelia's mother calling her from the living room, "Wake up already. We need to clean the house, now!".
"Mm mm, I'm up." Amelia groaning in her bed, and getting up very unwillingly. Stumbling to the bathroom, she started looking at her reflection on the mirror. "Oh My God! I look like a walking dead." She thought. Amelia has a black hair that barely touches her chest, and dark brown eyes - that could look like black - like her mother's. She's the type of girl that sleeps in with music blaring from her headphones and thinks that's what causes her to wake up like a zombie but never tried to change the habit. Her style goes from shirts and jeans to band flannels and guess what! baggy trousers. She's never the one to wear skirts and dresses - unless her mother forces her to - that's her big sister's style.
Finishing her morning ritual, Amelia walks to her mother who's cooking breakfast in the kitchen. "Morning, mom." she kissed her mother on the cheek, and starts to make her Nescafe.
"Morning, sweetie. Don't drink that now, breakfast is almost ready." her mother said while making the pancakes.
"You know I can't go on without my Nescafe. Where's everyone?" Amelia asked her mother, putting four full sugar spoons in her cup.
"Your dad, Alex, and Kate gone to work. Which leaves me and you, and the vacuum. C'mon hurry up and finish your breakfast, I want to make some changes in the house today. " her mother said handing Amelia her pancakes.
"God! You're always changing the house, I have a better idea. How about watching movies all day and doing nothing, I'll even play you The Hobbit." Amelia taking a bite from her pancakes and a sip from the Nescafe, while convincing her stubborn mother.
"Don't even try Amy, c'mon get the vacuum and follow me." her mother said walking out of the kitchen. Amelia loving her nickname from her mother, finished doing the dishes and followed her whispering "Oh how I missed my school days."
Twenty two years old - still looking for a job - Amelia Rose graduated university where she studied Turkish language. She loved the idea of getting to know new language and new culture, and the fact that she knew people who had the same passion made her love her days in collage. Everyone who knew Amelia back then would call her a Social Butterfly. She was - and still - friendly with everyone she sees, with her passion and kind heart, Amelia became pretty popular there. She had a lot of friends loving her funny and caring character, and boys falling for her beautiful smile. She never noticed this kind of attention, but her four best friends made sure to always mention it.
Flora, Nick, Anne, and Troy were Amelia's best mates, partners in crimes. They were - yet still - the closest people to her heart. Being in the same university for four years is a thing, and being attached to each other is another thing. They had the most amazing four years of their lives together until graduation tore them apart. Amelia wasn't complaining though, she knew everyone is having a life now, experiencing responsibilities, and attached to different things. It's not like they lost contact with each other, they still talk and meet now and then, but it'd never be as it was back then. With Troy moving to Turkey with his family, Flora and Nick's engagement, and Anne's working day and night to help her family, it's just hard to keep in touch. Amelia understood.
"Ding Dong!" The door bell rang. "I got it." Amelia shouted from afar to her mother who's moving the T.V to the other side of the room.
"I'm huuuungry!" Kate muttering while closing the door behind her.
"Great! My oh-I-love-to-clean-with-mom big sister is here." Amelia said to a tired looking Kate.
"No way in hell. I'm not doing anything until I regain my powers." Kate laughing. "Before I forget, Amelia I met Anne today she's saying Hi." Kate said walking to her room to change.
" Hi?! Just a Hi! After two weeks of 'busy I'll call you later' she's saying Hi! I'm gonna kill her." Amelia said while searching for her mobile to call her long lost friend.
"Amelia, move this couch with me then call whoever you want." their mother said looking tired.
Katherine - or as she like to be called Kate - is Amelia's twenty five years old big sister. She's working in a school near their house as an art teacher. She has brown big eyes, and brown long hair. Kate is having their father's features, while Alex and Amelia having their mother's. Alex is their twenty eight big brother, he works beside their dad in his company.
Finishing the house, Amelia gone to her room to text her best friend.
Amelia : Hi huh?
It took 5 minutes for Amelia to get a reply from her busy best friend.
Anne : Amelia, hey! x
Amelia : don't 'Amelia, hey' me. I'm mad at you :/
Anne : I know and I'm so so sorry. I miss you, Amy :(
Amelia : I miss you too, idiot. How are you gonna make it up to me?! ;)
Anne : let's meet tonight, dinner on me ;)
Amelia : how can I say no to food!
Anne : K then, McDonald's at seven, deal?
Amelia : deal, see ya!It was four in the afternoon, so Amelia spent her time scrolling through Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
She find some of her friends from uni. posting and tweeting about love, heartbreak and what not. She never had a boyfriend before, never felt love, pain, missing etc. She always thought to herself what it would be like being in a relationship, being loved like those people in movies and books. But she never believed that someone special is going to enter her life, she has this weird theory that says, you'd spent most of your life reading romantic books, seeing perfect people getting together, and picture yourself in a love story so amazing then Boom you won't have something like that and you'd get the exact opposite. Because life is like that.. It sucks. She continued to scroll through social media, reading some books, and listening to some Turkish songs until it was six, muttering "Finally!" Amelia ran to the bathroom to fresh up and put some eyeliner and a little bit of lip gloss, then head to her wardrobe. Getting ready with her 1D black and white flannel and jeans, wearing her white converse and putting her hair into a messy high bun, took her phone and some money in her pocket, and head out.
"I'm going to have dinner with Anne, mom" Amelia shouted while running to the door.
"Okay, sweetie. Be safe." Her mother shouted back from the living room watching her favorite series on T.V.
"Promise." Amelia said walking out of the house and heading to McDonald's excited to see her best friend.
