Detention Day 43

The group had gotten closer. Natsu's mother, Grandine, had grown to love Lucy like a daughter (in-law) and Igneel liked her almost as much. Levy and Gajeel harboured some... feelings towards each other and were going out on their third date this Saturday. There was no label for their relationship though... not yet. Juvia begun to bring in a laptop to the detentions, where she would read on a website called 'wattpad' all the time. Both Lucy and Levy got wattpad accounts because of her.

But Gray was annoyed with the lack of Juvia liking him. Instead, she was engrossed in that computer, reading stupid stories. He was much more important.

"Hey, Juvia." Gray casually took the seat next to her. Usually, this would have Juvia bright red and swooning with hearts in her eyes, but today her eyes never left the laptop screen as she interacted with one of her internet friends in one of the stories' comments.

"Oh. Hey, Gray."

Gray tutted, annoyed at the laptop. "So, how are things going? It's been a while since we talked."

Juvia hummed slightly in response, her eyes still not leaving the screen. She was ignoring him.

"The weather's nice today, isnt it?" Gray desperately changed the subject, trying to grasp her attention.

She looked over at him. "Gray?"

"Yes, Juvia?"

"Can you do Juvia a favour?"

Gray let a small smirk back onto his face. He had won her over again. "Anything."

"Be quiet? Juvia is trying to talk to one of her friends here on wattpad"

Gray felt heartbroken. Juvia not only ignored him and asked him not to speak to her, she implied that he wasn't her friend? What had happened to Juvia.

"Okay." Gray got up, dejected. He moved back to sit next to his other male blue haired friend, Jellal, who was currently sketching on the last clear table in the entire room. All the others had mystical dragons, graffiti'd swear words or some other weird but intricate desin on them. He was currently drawing a set of armour.

"What's up, Gray?" Unlike Juvia, Jellal looked up at Gray and stopped what he was doing to talk. Gray sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"You see... I think Juvia's lost interest in me. What can I do to make her like me?"

Jellal cleared his throat. "Put on your shirt, for one."

Gray looked down in alarm. His shirt was off. Again. He didn't even notice.

Gray found his shirt on a desk nearby, slipping it back on. "Okay, so what else can I do?"

Jellal shrugged. "The way I got Erza to like me is by buying her ten strawberry cheesecakes. I feel like that wouldn't work on Juvia, though."

Oh, did I forget to mention? Erza and Jellal were going out now. The school's power couple. Literally.

"So I need to do something nice for her," Gray concluded. "But what?"

"I don't know. What does Juvia like?"

"Wattpad. The colour blue. Cookies. Plushie toys. Rain."

Jellal shrugged. "You have the information. Just use it."

Gray nodded, moving to sit on his own desk as Jellal got back to drawing in his biro. Gray had a lot of planning to do.

Detention Day 44

Juvia was walking home the next day, after detention. She had decided to leave her laptop at school as she wouldn't get th chance to use it at home (she was swamped with homework) and she would only use it in detention tomorrow. What's the point of carrying it two ways?

Gray was waiting for her, plushie toys and cookie platter in one hand. In the other... he was holding a hose.

Don't ask. It'll make sense.

Juvia pulled into the park, pausing when she saw Gray. "Gray?" she asked. Gray noticed she didn't call him 'sama' anymore. Ouch.

"Hi, Juvia." He passed her the cookies and the plushie toy. She held them, confused. At least she hadn't taken her laptop home, or she wouldn't be able to hold these things.

Gray turned on the hose, holding it up to the sky and using his finger to block most of the spray. The water that did still come out looked like... rain.

On this sunny day, Gray had managed to make it rain.

The water covered both of them and Juvia found herself smiling slightly. "What is Gray doing?" she called to him over the sound of the water.

"Confessing." he yelled back. "Juvia, I really like you! I've liked you for a while. Please accept me!"

Juvia grinned, eating a cookie and hugging the plushie toy to her chest. "Of course, Gray-sama!" and the name was back. "Juvia liks you too!"

"You do? But you were ignoring me."

"Juvia is sorry. Levy-chan and Love Rival told Juvia to do that so that Gray-sama would like Juvia more."

"Tell them it worked." He walked over to her and pressed his lips against hers. She smiled into the kiss, melting into Gray. The two seemed happy.

Juvia pulled back first, taking Gray's dazed state to grab the hose from him and promptly aim it in his direction, letting the spray cover him. He squealed like a little girl, jumping back.

"Juvia!" Gray scolded. Juvia laughed happily.

Gray began to pull off his shirt and Juvia's laugh silenced as she watched him. He laughed, taking her dazed state to take back the hose and revenge, soaking her in the process.

The two carried on with their water fight, childishly laughing and kissing in between spurts of water.

One thing was for sure; Gray loved Juvia and Juvia loved Gray. Nobody was going to stop that relationship.
